No reference letters from employer = pretty much immediate rejection for FSW1. I am surprised you got through the completeness check to even get to the eligibility review.
Not in all cases, I pretty much did not send reference letter from employer cos they just weren't bothered after making expensive calls abroad and sending numerous e-mails. I did the experience letter myself, listing the duties I had performed (and even updated the duties after application was sent). Probably the diffference here is I had evidence that I had worked with the local council:end oy yr tax certificate (p60) for the 4 yrs, correspondence from employer, letters from HM Revenue and Customs abt tax code, work IDs and some training certificates. I think other considerations, like you rightly pointed out is, the strength of the application. Even without experience reference, everything else on my application 'smelled' social work...lol...Mandie
It is possible to pass with 3 duties - generally they are looking for about 50% or more of the duties but it depends on length of experience and general strength of your application. My wife applied under 3131, and we had about 3.5 duties out of 8, and we got the visa. But she scored 76 points and 8.5 IELTS etc so it was a fairly strong application.
Anyway, the number of duties may have been enough to pass, but without any evidence that you performed the duties provided by your employer you were not going to get through the eligibility review.
The number of applications received this year for 3131 is still fairly low (19 or so out of 500) so it is unlikely to fill up quickly. Can you not acquire the appropriate references from your employer and apply again this year?
