Yes, you are right, I am here in Dublin and so if I DHL the PP, it will reach them in a day or so. If they return then too bad i will have to go through the new PP thing but then there will be a paper trail for it. Which seems to be a good option than voluntarily getting new PP's and then explaining the whole thing. Thanks for your help.Cappuccino said:Am I right in thinking you are currently living in Ireland? If so then courier to the UK should be next day or max 2 days. In which case, it is probably worth the risk, since you are only really risking maybe a few weeks' delay. Worst case scenario they will not accept the passports and will write to you in a few weeks asking you to get new ones.
But it's really your call - since as you say it is a rock and a hard place and neither option is ideal.

Ok well best of luck If you are posting them you should probably expect around 6 weeks to get them sent back with visa. Some people have got them in about a month, but others have taken 8 weeks or so - so I think 6 weeks is a decent average depending on how busy they are.kolhapuri said:Yes, you are right, I am here in Dublin and so if I DHL the PP, it will reach them in a day or so. Yes, the timelines you mentioned are as per the PPR letter. I will just have to go through with it.Cappuccino said:Ok well best of luck If you are posting them you should probably expect around 6 weeks to get them sent back with visa. I think this also writes off any theories of Pakistan applicants at London being slower. Of the three applicants so far to get PPR from CHC London, two of them have been Pakistan nationals.
Although, myself, yourself and Danishsoomro are all currently residing in Great Britain so current country of residence may have something to do with it.
Wayne.

I sent it via registered mail.
Oops! Since they are in a similar geographical area I guess I forget sometimes which applicants are from India and which are from Pakistan.kolhapuri said:Yes, the timelines you mentioned are as per the PPR letter. I will just have to go through with it.
Thanks Wayne, I am an Indian National and we have a lot in common with our neighbours from Pakistan (food and music to list a few). I am not in Great Britain but in Republic of Ireland.
Cheers
No worries. The Republic of Ireland is an independent nation. CheersCappuccino said:Oops! Since they are in a similar geographical area I guess I forget sometimes which applicants are from India and which are from Pakistan.
And I thought the Republic of Ireland was part of Great Britain, but not part of the United Kingdom? Or am I getting mixed up and it's just England, Scotland + Wales which is in Great Britain, and the addition of Northern Ireland makes up the United Kingdom?
Anyway, my apologies on both fronts!
Ah well.Wayne.
