7372 Drillers and Blasters - Surface Mining, Quarrying and Construction 2 of 1,000
8222 Supervisors, Oil and Gas Drilling and Service 13 of 1,000

Few Questions here

1. Does it mean these people got all the the stage qualified or processed (only AOR pending) or these are the total application received
2. 20000 cap would not reach before 3-4 months time
3. Some of the NOC have less then 50 number of applicant so they may never be full

Did some one compared this with our list, upto what extent we have accuracy. I mean it shows 700+ applicant in NOC 1122, where as we may have only less then 100 applicatnt with us.

I think these may the application processed till 19 Oct 2010 (received till Aug 2010) where as others are waiting in the queue. So if we take Sept and Oct 2010 the chances are the only one NOC (1122) would be over now.
Thanks pun123, great find!

Now, I am ASSUMING this means they have completed the eligibility reviews on 2226 applications. So if they have, where are the AORs?

I can't believe that only 2226 have passed the completeness check, I am fairly sure they must also pass the eligibility review in order to count towards the cap.

Hopefully this new information is a precursor to a bulk sending out of AORs! ;)

I think nearly so and hope so that because some applications refused already.

Acttually, as my consult, this number may be are the applications who complete checking then encash also and first time eligibility review.

As I know, with new rule, will have 2 times checking about eligibility review before they issue AOR and sent to VO.

So it is the reason the time in NS will be take longer than before but the time in VO will be shorter than.

It is my opinion only.

Is that maybe right? I hope that.

Wait some weeks next.

Possibly, but unlikely. Looking at the timescales reported in the May and June threads, AORs are taking a varying amount of time. Some people are getting AORs within 4 weeks of encashment, whereas others in early May are still waiting.

So it doesn't look like they have any rule which means AORs must be sent out in strict order.

Still at least now they are publishing some figures this gives a good indication as to which NOCs might have some room left. Looking at those numbers it would seem any NOC other than 1122 if one were to apply now, would have a decent chance to get in. This also bodes well for anyone whose application is rejected at the eligibility review stage, since they may have time to correct the application and re-apply and still fall within the cap.

If you take out 1122 & 3152 (just 2 NOC's) the total complete applications come to 2226-739-296=1191, which is like almost 50% of the total accepted applications received as on 19 Oct. 2010.

This just goes to show that the occupations listed in demand are more of a lip service that CIC is doing post 26 June 2010. Most of the NOC's in 6 & 7 series are Trade skills that are rarely documented in developing countries, do not have any real degree or diploma & people in these skills will find to clear the IELTS very very difficult. How does CIC expect Plumbers & Carpenters to have experience certificates, degrees/diploma & clear IELTS to gain points?

They really want to clear the back-log & restrict intake of "Skilled Workers" !

Hmm, food for thought.

But let's say they are stockpiling AORs until the May/June applications are finished, are they too stockpiling rejections? To my knowledge not one single post-June-26 applicant has received a rejected application back after encashment.

Perhaps they are doing things in batches (cheaper and more efficient) so likely there'll be a flood of AORs + returned applications all at the same time.

Another interesting point to note is that this list was updated on 19 October, which is a Tuesday, the same day they update everyone's status on ECAS.

Perhaps we can expect this list to be updated every Tuesday?

Every assumption inidicates that they have 2226 applicants ready for AOR for all NOC. They are saying "Applications received toward the overall cap: 2,226 of 20,000 as of October 19, 2010" - and by calling CIO, we have known that they have completed until August 2010 eligibility review.

But, does it look right for NOC 1122? 739 applicants are already eligible for AOR? by August batch? Wherelese we beleive that post 26th June applicants volume should had been very low at least for a month (say complete July 2010) due to new requirements along with PCC. They removed PCC requirement later, but that is not before August. It should take considerable amount of time to finalize an application package with all these documents.

Now until August 2010, if 739 AOR for 1122 is right, then they must have recieved atleast 20%-30% more applications (given that, some were returned for completeness and some were returned for failure in eligibility). so, it looks like they have recieved more than 1000 + 1122 applicants in first two months (july and august), even with new rules and PCC requirements!

Something just doesnt feel right!!...

I think the totals displayed here, "complete" means completeness check, encashment and eligibility review all ok:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

So it looks like currently only 1122 is in danger of being full, although of course there are many more applications than this "in the system".

I am just a bit annoyed that if they have finished 2226 applications that they have not sent out any AORs! Hopefully finally updating their website is an indication that they are about to do so.

Wayne.
This one holds more water :)

Did we read the CIC properly? Is it the number of COMPLETE applications considered for processing(including eligibility reviews), or the number of applications that had passed the eligibility review?

From the MI's FAQ,

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/immigrate/skilled/changes-fsw-faq05.asp

It states that Complete applications are considered in the CAP and not complete eligible applications

Also they quote that the numbers are AS OF 19th Oct(Yesterday) and they have published it today. Very unlikely that they have done eligibility reviews for an application received on the same date :p :p :p. At least when we say completeness check is done on the same day(that's unlikely too :p), giving a buffer of 2 days, but I'm sure it's safe to say that these numbers are only COMPLETE applications and ALL(although some of them might have gone through) of them could not have gone through the eligibility review.

So, my guess is that the numbers published have not passed on the eligibility review :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
