i working in canada right now on work permit, i applied for skilled worker program on september 2010, igot my first response from nova scotio on jan-2011 by e mail says ur application is eligible and i got file number and it says it will be forwarded to buffalo ,,,,, then after checking application status online it says now is received by visa office,,,,,,,, can u tell me how long the process?

Are you sure about your payment date in 11-Apr-2011? It should have been done during Oct-2010.

My bad. I was referring to the RPRF.

The payment was done in September as well. Not sure when it was encashed though.

BREAKING NEWS HERE AS WELL ****


The Canadian embassy in cairo has just called me to ask me for passport to stamp the permanent residence visa

I just can not believe it is almost done or literally done

Somebody wakes me up from my deepest dream for now

I just asked them if I can renew my passport before sending it and they confirmed it is fine and that to do it immediately so as to allow them to close my file as soon as possible. Cheeers ;D

I'm so greatful for you Moori, Cairo, magdy, and all who supported me.
I have put the documents in their mail box on Monday18th of April.(is it OK or should i used a courier?) But i can never predict the new time line for me now!
Any way, i sent them original documents and i doubt there is any thing else may confuse them!


I'm so worried and so nervous but have nothing to do except to wait!

I advise you to use a reliable courier service to guarantee timely and secure delivery. Go for it without any hesitation. Do it yesterday, if you can ;D

In the whole of my life, this has turned to be the most time-sensitive procedure that I have been through. Time did matter in doing my IELTS 2 months earlier than was originally scheduled. Time did matter when banks were closed post January 25th. Soon as opened, I re-issued a bank statement for the duplicate file to the embassy. Time was a great factor when all police stations were closed to re-issue a new PCC for the same reason. I found out the the Heliopolis HQ were operational! I will see if time did matter in sending the Medicals by courier as well or not.

Trust me, do not waste that precious time. It is very valuable, not only in the visa processing but in every aspect of your life. Time is money, remember!

Cairo, i completely don't get what you mean by the duplicate file ?
Did they also ask for an extra bank statement ?

I have had my medicals done on the twenty second of march and the embassy called me by 12 30 pm today. Hands crossed for you to get your papers soon done and sent to the embassy and get the best news ever Wishing your wife a very safe birth and a wonderful living in canada soon
