My detialed time line goes like

We received your application for permanent residence on August 16, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 6, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Hopefully my status can be chagned very soon.

Yes. It would be great if the status gets to "In Process" stage in April for all of us. We all deserve it after such a long waiting

It is 001 613 944 4000 and the extension is 1-2-1-2-0 If I'm not mistaken. If you do not have the client Id no you should wait until you are asked for that 3 times, then you will reach an agent to whom you can tell about your problem.

I callled them yesterday and got client id and files no from them....after answering some security questions....
they told me that they have sent me a letter with some information....on 9th march 2011....but unfotunately I have not yet received it....
AND THAN I CHECKED ONLINE NOW IT SHOWS

"ELIGIBILITY REVIEW COMPLETE"

Hi my friend,

When you filled your application, you send it to CIC. The check your app pkg and verify if it is "COMPLETED".

Stage-1: Completeness Check (typically in 2-3 working days from the day it received)
Stage-2: If found OK & Completed, it goes for the Payment encashment (typically within 10-15 days). If not, they will return your application.
Stage-3: Application goes for the Eligibility Test. If it found eligible, they will send you PER (Positive Eligibility Review) ack (typically in 25-30 days) -> by email
Stage-4: After PER, they will send the application to the local Visa Office for further processing. Once it goes to RBVO (Received by VO) status, you will receive the AOR (Ack of receipt) -> Typically in 2 - 4 weeks (through Regular Mail)....

Stage-5 & onwards... will discuss later after AOR

they told me that they have sent me a letter with some information....on 9th march 2011....but unfotunately I have not yet received it....and agent take a note of that...and told me that he has writen email to concerned department...which may take time up to 30 working days.....and told me to call in a month time if I dont hear anything from there side....

It happens for my case and I wonder if it is delivered correctly

Yes,It happened to me but at NDVO, my package was received by some Stamp not by any particular person.

I was also worried but after 10 days my dd encashed and i just satisfied myself that courier has reached the VO.
