First of all congrads to the early bird (sorry early grasshopper)

Hi all

I just completed my medicals

The DMO had advised that the X-ray is up to me to decide, and i should consult my Gyno befor giving the consent, when i consulted over phone, the Gyno asked me to avoid it if possible.

and I asked him about the process if i Skip it, he said that, you can complete medicals with out X-ray and the NDVO would request again for your X-ray along with the medicals request for the new born.and he also told me that the VO may not process your request furthur with out complete Medicals, Since i was ready to wait till the child birth for my relocation i decided to skip the X-ray now.

And complted the medicals of my Husband & Child and mine with out X-ray.

Now waiting for the my Husband's PCC from The netherlads to reach me to send it to ND VO.

And i have a query
If i send my passport now, it is going to be with NDVO till Oct 2011 (i am expecting the baby by Last week of Aug 2011), should i send the passports now.

And will they encash my RPRF now? if they hold it, it might cross 6 Months and hence would expire.

Seniors openions please

I had sent a Case Specific Query to the NDVO on 4t of april but no reply so far.

and Hence forth my husband (Ajimon) will be posting comments here for me

1. RPRF is en-cashed irrespective of the status of the application. If you send any form of money instrument to the VO they en-cash it immediately. They will refund it, if for some reason your application is refused.

2. Sending Passports now will be futile & it will remain with them till you & your expected baby complete the medicals. Therefore it is better that you write to them a letter (not e-mail) stating these facts & ask for Passport submission at a later date. You anyways will have to add the newborn once it arrives in your application so that they can send you the medical form for the baby after you get the Passport made.

Congrats :D ... Happy 2500th posts !!!

Congrats Wayne :)

Congrats Shadab for your 250th post 8)

Thanks,

Can't comment on your situation as it completely depends upon the VO assigned to your case.
But there is a positive note that you got the PER (Positive Eligibility Review)...

So think Positive & Good Luck :)

IMO if your draft for RPRF expires before your case is finalised, CHC will simply write to you and ask for another draft. You should then be able to claim a refund from your bank for the expired draft.

RPRF is en-cashed upon receipt at NDVO (that I am sure!). They do not wait till finalization.

We have few members whose drafts are not encashed even after 15 days :(

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Maybe they are unaware of the encashment or just a procedural delay. As a thumb rule NDVO encashes all fees paid against application (whether processing or RPRF) upon receipt (due to procedural delays the time period may vary between 5-20 days). As per OP-6 manual, RPRF can be paid anytime during the processing of the application. You can even pay it when you send it to CIO, Sydney. So their is no linking for the encashment to any stage of the process. It is just a routine clerical matter at the VO.
They process a refund if your application is unsuccessful.
