Wayne Congrats! One question:

Have you been able to compare the time for pre-june applicants to get their apps to the "in process stage" vs post-june in London office? I think this might be a great indication if our process is really faster (at slow visa offices)

IMO little point in comparing to pre-June-26 because their process is SOO different to get to med request stage. We have to do most of our hard work before we apply (gathering all the docs), but it makes visa office stage faster since we skip all the eligibility review and go straight to background/security/med requests.

However, once the medical requests are sent I reckon the timelines are about the same - so for London probably about 3 months from medical requests to PPR.

I have no clue why on earth i haven't receive the 2nd AOR unless there is something wrong. ??? Mostly will be not good at all. I know the post office guy very well and if the AOR was released, it could not be missed.

As far as i remember, my status was changed into received by VO since 4th of March. And nothing happened since that date.

Have any one got any assumptions?!!!

This morning our ECAS status reads "In Process" and we have the following in the detail:


We received your application for permanent residence on August 30, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 15, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 15, 2011.


Another ray of hope for London applicants?
Of course, we have yet to see any of these changes translate into anything with substance such as 2nd AOR or med requests but it is encouraging.

And we get to post this news on page 1337. Leet

Today my consultant forwarded a notice from CIO stating that they've received my GENERAL ielts results and that they've forwarded my application to the Visa office (Manila). The letter was dated March 17, 2011.

hi Amar,

PER means "positive eligibility review"....it is sent by CIO when they deem your application eligible for processing....after this they forward your application to the respective visa office where the remaining checks are completed....This normally comes before the ecas status changes to "CIO-Eligiblity review complete".....dont go by the ecas status.....it is not updated regularly.....

Since u have already received ur PER, now u should wait for the 2nd AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) which is sent by the visa office once they receive your application and start processing it.....and after that you would get ur medical requests

btw there are chances you might get the medical requests before the 2nd AOR.....its happened to quite a few people too....so dont worry

I am watching our tracker and see that CIO's staff become very effective.They issue PER for 57 days.

They will review all applications for one month and after that they will beg postmen to give them more applications

If they haven't my application, they will be redundant.

I just received my PER for the 2nd time. It says they received my GT result & forwarding my file to the VO.
Please update the spreadshteet...I guess this must be the longest waiting time in the tracker for PER, but I am glad it came atlast!
