This message is directed at anyone whose status says ``we have sent u a letter`` but you never received an email from CIO (including 9j if you still havent heard anything),

please call CIO as soon as possible. I called them today, they confirmed they sent me an email since March 10 but it appeared not to have been delivered to me. The call centre agent said he was going to make them resend the email in the next few days. My friend in a similar situation called and it was the same issue - email sent but not delivered (I use gmail while he uses hotmail so its not email-specific)

Just wanted to let u guys know (I especially remember someone who said he or she was living in the States and expecting a physical letter, so FYI its an email, please give them a call ASAP. Wayne was right afterall

I am watching our tracker and see that CIO's staff become very effective.They issue PER for 57 days.

They will review all applications for one month and after that they will beg postmen to give them more applications

If they haven't my application, they will be redundant.

Thanks for this Ozone. I sent them a case specific inquiry earlier on today, since I am outside of Canada and it appears they are not accepting phone inquiries from outside of Canada. I use yahoomail, and I have saved CIO email from which they normally send PER in my contact list. Fingers crossed, hopefully, I'll get a response back soonest. I only hope they've entered the right email address. It would be a big headache if the same problems filters down to the VO, when they start their own processing.

Wayne Congrats! One question:

Have you been able to compare the time for pre-june applicants to get their apps to the "in process stage" vs post-june in London office? I think this might be a great indication if our process is really faster (at slow visa offices)

NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This morning our ECAS status reads "In Process" and we have the following in the detail:


We received your application for permanent residence on August 30, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 15, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 15, 2011.


Another ray of hope for London applicants?
Of course, we have yet to see any of these changes translate into anything with substance such as 2nd AOR or med requests but it is encouraging.
