The first letter is case specific. Remember few people have been asked for PCC also and some are not

The second attachment is generic one. So please do not get conused. You may still like to contact NDVO

On the first page of the letter they asked us to submit the Passport, where as on the third page they mentioned that they will inform us when do we need to submit the passport.

This is confusing !! :-\ Did someone contact ND VO regarding this? What are you guys plan to do for this (Send / wait for another request from them)?

Now i am more confused then ever before!
My VO is ND. I am in some other country. If i get my meds done here then where should the DMP send the papers to? Nairobi ? to ND?

I think this same issue would be faced by many on this or other forums.

CHC ND Says:

Immigration medical examinations can be completed in Canada or in any place in the world where there is a Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP). For a complete list of DMPs in Canada and around the world, please visit this website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx. If an application is in process in India and the medical examination is completed outside of India, please remember to inform the DMP that the results will need to be sent to India, so they can be matched up with the correct file.

Where as DMP handbook says

All immigration medical exam documents are sent to the regional medical office in the DMP's area (Nairobi in my case). The regional medical office will then transfer the information to the appropriate immigration office either in North America or overseas.For example, a DMP in Montréal would send the medical report for an applicant applying from China to the Ottawa regional medical office, which would then send the medical report to the Beijing immigration office, where the application is being processed.

Also, 1st page of my MR says:
"We require the following:
1) RPRF
2) Valid Passport or travel document for yourself Upon completion of all requirements This must be received at this office by: 04/16/2011.
3) Medicals


Whereas, the last page of the MR says:
"Please DO NOT send your passports to us until we request them from you."


I got a revert from a couple of frds for PP. But the idea of me staying in a foreign land without my PP is certainly not a good scene. Please any other ideas?

I received yesterday (March 10Th) a letter by snail mail dated February 23 from VO. They are asking for Police certificate and it says that I must send it within 60 days of the date of this letter.
I sent with the application my PCC but from the state that I am currently living but the letter that VO is asking is the federal PCC it means from my country.
Te get this PCC I need to travel to the capital (Mexico City) twice, because one is for the processing and the second (10 days later) is to pick it up.

Yes, it has been a disastrous day for Japan. I have a friend who lives in Osaka, but she told me everything there is fine. The quake was quite bad but the Japanese have brilliantly constructed buildings which is why the number of deaths are comparatively low in spite of the magnitude of the quake.

I just hope this is the end of it and that there are no more aftershocks or tsunamis!!!

its is nothing to worry....just go by the first page because that is case specific....the other parts of the letters are just generic.....so no issues...we can send the passports

just finished my medicals today....

nothing to worry...just basic examinations......but my doctor asked me and my husband what is our intended work/occupation once we land in canada :....

tests included are

1. Physical examination
2. X-ray Chest
3. Urine Routine
4. HIV
5. VDRL

they said it would take them 5 working days to send the results to ND-VO....

since the VO has asked me to submit another PCC, its going to take us another week b4 we submit our documents... :

since i have been out the whole day, i have almost 7 pages of posts to read ;D.....i m sure few ppl would have received their share of good news (PER,AOR, MR)....congrats to all

Thankfully we received the Medicals Request today. We have also been requested for some marriage pictures and marriage certificate. We had already submitted this but they have requested for it again.
We had not submitted the PCCs but there is no explicit mention of it.

Shareen, you must have gone for your medicals today. How was it? Can I get your help in understanding the process in Bangalore?
