* what does it means, processing stratrted on 2nd march, means they have already dispatched the medical request is in transit.?????

Wow Moori, that's really excellent news...

This is to advise you that the processing of your application to immigrate to Canada has reached the stage where immigrant visa(s) can be issued to you (and your accompanying dependents) as soon as the Right of Permanent Residence Fee has been paid and/or your settlement funds are available.

does that mean that they finished everything except for the fees & the medicals? does it mean that they can finalize your application only in a couple of months or so??

that would be REALLY great.. Maybe I should wish I had applied to Cairo VO instead of London

Thx basmalahh a lot Prayers for your office to be working fast as soon as possible and all the frustrations here end up with positive PR in the shortest period ever. I realy have not expected cairo office to be working that fast on the hand specially when it was very wel known to be the slowest in the world when you look at processing time and applications in que from before 2008. Even in the post feb 2008 system, they are still on the latest times. So hopefuly we see something positive this time from their side. I already have a file since november 2007 and up till now I have no clue about it. Just as I submitted the simple application and paid the fee, no change so far. I hope this format means easier processing and faster finalization and you are proven right by paper work

Hello Moori,
A very big congrats to you. This is the best news so far in this forum, IMo. London VO is still sleeping. My present residence permit in the UK is due to expire september 2011. Home office (British immigration) has increased their visa fee to £3,000 for me and my dependants for just a two year visa. Although we will qualify for our permanent resident visa after the 2 years and paying another £3,000+ for PR. How wish London VO will issue our visas before septmeber, that would have saved me at least £3,000.

I am realy out of words for your sweet congratulations. Yes I think the wording is pretty strong in the letter and brings optimism. However I can not rely on this unless we see it in hands. Let's hope for the good and look for it
I would totally be supporting your prayers to be getting your PR before september. Just if they did ask for your medicals before that date, you can do the medicals and then send them ur passport by courier when asked for. Just trying to think in your plate and debate an optimum solution
