Yeah i agree, even my consultant asked me to pay in advance an amount of $490 for PA and spouse/commonlaw and i think the child is lower price.

Well it's $490 each according to the CIC website, which I trust infinitely more than the immigration lawyer's website on the link you have just posted ;) :

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

4. Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)
(Canadian dollars)

$490
This fee is payable by principal applicants (with some exceptions) and accompanying spouses and common-law partners. It must be paid before the immigrant visa is issued overseas or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada.

The following applicants are not required to pay this fee:

* dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
* protected persons, including Convention refugees.

Hi
for Children it is $150 Canadian dollars. IF paid already with application no need to pay again. Only pay yprincipal applicants and spouse only each $490.

Oh i see. Thanks wayne. Now i know that we already paid for that one :)) thanks! I just got confused because of the info from someone was not that cleared.

If you are referring to the RPRF (Right of Permanent Residence Fee) it is $495 per person. It is usually payable with medical requests, although I think they will not charge credit card or cash bank draft until the decision is made.

But either way you need to pay it before you land.

All of the lyrics should already be there. Look under the main picture window and click "More Info" it will show the full description including the song lyrics. You can choose individual songs from the menu on the right.

Thanks for the support!

Guys,

I just received a reply from the CIO for the email query that i sent them on 10th Feb, right after we received our PER. The confusion was no visa office mentioned in the PER email. The reply confirms it was a mistake from their side :)

Good Morning,

You are correct, file being transferred to New Delhi.

Sorry for omission.

Thank you

D.A.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Dear All,

Today i have received the 2nd AOR from Singapore visa office which was issued on 15th Feb 2011 and posted on 16th February 2011. It took 13 days from Singapore to deliver to Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The format is like pre-june AOR. They didn't mention any processing time. But they mention that if the application is determined to be eligible for processing then processing will begin on a priority basis.

On my e-case status which is "In process" i can see that the following line:

"Your application was reviewed and we started processing on February 23, 2011."

That mean it took 8 days for singapore VO to review the application (From 15th of Feb to 23rd Feb).

Please update my status!

Thanks.

Congrats bd :)

Do the contents of the 2nd AOR differ at each VO's ???

Mine doesn't mention anything abt another eligibility review at their end....is just says that i am not eligible for any refund because CIO deemed my application eligible....n they have mentioned a processing time of 10 months....

Hi! Wayne and other seniors of this forum,

I have a small query:
I had submitted my application on 20th October 2010 and received the 1st AOR on 14th February 2011. Incidentally, our office has shifted premises since I had applied. Although, the contact number remains the same, the address is totally different.
My query is where exactly should I intimate the Canadian Immigration Authorities about this change and what should be the ideal medium of communication for the same. I am worried as I think after the 1st AOR is received, our file gets transferred to the local VO for verification and any discrepancy at this stage might just delay things indefinitely.

Your prompt advise would be appreciated.

Thanks,
DarKnight

Please reach out to the ND VO, using a case specific form on their website. You are required to indicate any changes to your situation, and so i would suggest you do this ASAP.

Here's the link https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=new%20delhi

Thanks,

indira.. do u think faxing the vo is also an option in addition to the case specific form..
i had used this form to notify the buffalo vo of my address change around 2-3 weeks ago but havent received any reply from them nor has my address been changed(when i login to see my case status)

Indeed you should inform them. I had a similar issue where my company was taken over by another company so the name changed (although address, salary + duties remained the same).

I advise you to do the same as I did, send them a case specific online query via the visa office's website. I just quoted our file number, and gave them the details that my company had changed name, my contact had a new email address and did they require any further information? They sent a quick mail back saying they had made a note on their file and that an immigration officer would review it, and heard nothing since. So they probably will look at it when they get round to processing our application.

If you had already used https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=buffalo to notify them of a change in situation, and you did not receive an automated response stating your information was received and not to expect another confirmation email from their side, please try emailing them at buffalo-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca (no spaces in the email address as usual ;))

Please indicate in the email that you have sent a case specific form dated XX and that you received no confirmation of that and so, you wanted to ensure the information in fact reached your file.

If no response for the email for 10 days, i would suggest you to fax them the same information.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi all,

just wanted to update my Ecas status. It now states CIO-S eligibility review complete, however, I see the medical result bug persists as it also states they have received medical results (I wish!)

Congrats to all who have received PER/AOR/MR!!!! currently on night duty and has taken me some time to read all the updates ::)
