It simply means that CIC officer opened your file today and perhaps either reviewed it or took some action towards processing your file.
Its definitely better than your tracker being non-active for more than 6 months!
So pls chill and relax and be patient...someone's working on your profile.
What the above comment stated its just a update that happens now and then some persons will see changes others won't. Right now the last update was Oct 4th if this trend continues we should see another on Thursday or Friday coming
In the good old days, when tracker used to work normally (like a year ago), yes - it used to update on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Hopefully, everyone's tracker start showing updates every week and all of our applications gets processed quickly.
Thanks for the information. I don't understand why my status is updated if there's no updates. I called the IRCC they told me the agent might of checked your file. He advised if I don't get any updates to wait until November and email Vienna and say you reached the 10 month processing time. Its ridiculous how everything was completed in Feb 2024, and now 8 months later no updates, I don't get what are they doing and why are they taking their time. Just get it done.
My tracker is not showing after eligibility completed March 2024 My family did medical around March 24 to April '24 and another test done in July '24( suspicious rads). There were no notes about medical in my tracker. Tracker showing updated Oct 17 but no notes since MArch '24.
Also cant find our application on ECAS. I s this normal? outland submitted Dec 23.

Hey, so in the application tracker for my spouse it does show sections: Biometrics, Medical, Eligibility and Background. So there was an updated on October 4, 2024 but no new messages. Then on October 17, 2024 showed another update but this time it showed that the eligibility was completed. They did send us a message on October 17, 2024 saying we need to re submit updated versions of the police checks for my spouse and they gave us a deadline by November 16, 2024. Also there was another update on October 21, 2024 but no new messages.
What is ECAS? I know the IRCC website the background was showing in progress then not applicable but after that new message regarding the police checks it went back to in progress.

Sorry, it's called CAS i think. online tool to check for the app. i used it when i was applying for PR in 2018
So, i was able to register for my spouse tracker and i can see now the four sections on their app. background still in progress for my spouse and 2 kids. Eligibility (Oct 7), med and bio competed for my husband but my kids eligibility not started, completed med and bio. is this normal? last update was Oct 17.
No pre arrival notes received .
The trackers are unreliable at best. I have receieved P1 and P2 - yet my tracker says BGC and Eligibility in Progress.
