I havent received any email from them and I always check my ecas everyday, but it just says, medical results received. Will we get an email from them first or snail mail for PPR? My friends had their PPRs 8 months after their medical, so I was assuming that I will get mine this month. I am thinking our PR applications were transferred to Ottawa from Buffalo and that is causing delay to our application process.
My timeline is as follows:
Application Received: April 1, 2011
Medical Request: Sept. 2011
Medical Done: Oct. 7, 2011

I have the similar timeline too. I inquired my case status and this is what I got from the Ottawa VO a minute ago:
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is in response to your email (see below).
If you are an applicant with a file being processed by this office:
We will contact you with further information once your file has been processed. Due to the high volume of correspondence received, we are unable to provide a status update to you at this time.
No further action is required by you at this time. We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth, file number and your client ID number.

CIC is just prolonging our agony. I hope they would realize that. I thought they're good when it comes to processing period. Usually, those applying for PRs get theirs before their 15th month.
