Most probably your file has been transferred to ottawa. You can order GCMS Notes to get a more detailed idea regarding your file..

That's what I was thinking. I did order GCMS Notes or (ATIP, if they're the same), but the CIC in Ottawa emailed me that they need my parents' consent in order to release information regarding my application because they said that I sponsored them and they are included together with my application. I couldn't remember sponsoring them unless it is automatic. Does anyone has the same experience like mine when you ordered GCMS notes?

Did you apply for GCMS notes? If so, how long did it take for you to get the report?

Also, I recently applied for a WP extension, and gave them my new address. This new address is appearing in my ECas now. Not sure, if the address applies to my PR application as well.

Do you see your address after you click "Application Received" link on ECas or is it in the very beginning?

Hello Everyone,

I am new here but I've been reading your posts for 2 months. I am just a little anxious about my application and it's been more than 14 months since they received my application. I havent received any email from them and I always check my ecas everyday, but it just says, medical results received. Will we get an email from them first or snail mail for PPR? My friends had their PPRs 8 months after their medical, so I was assuming that I will get mine this month. I am thinking our PR applications were transferred to Ottawa from Buffalo and that is causing delay to our application process.

My timeline is as follows:

Application Received: April 1, 2011
Medical Request: Sept. 2011
Medical Done: Oct. 7, 2011

I have the similar timeline too. I inquired my case status and this is what I got from the Ottawa VO a minute ago:

Dear Sir/Madam,
This is in response to your email (see below).
If you are an applicant with a file being processed by this office:
We will contact you with further information once your file has been processed. Due to the high volume of correspondence received, we are unable to provide a status update to you at this time.
No further action is required by you at this time. We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth, file number and your client ID number.

No, I didn't. I was just wondering if my file is still being processed at Buffalo or at Ottawa now. I am past the 15 month mark. My ECAS doesn't even say "In Process" as of this moment.

I agree, seeing all the applicants after Dec 2011 getting their files quickly processed makes me feel I am left out. I understand we are well within processing time, still waiting 8 months after medical is harsh. Seeing the ratio doesn't make sense before sept 2011 files are complex in nature to process. I am glad that the files are transferred to cpp-ottawa. Hope they put them into the queue according to their application time and proceed from there.

There, they say, the processing time is now at 32 days, for online application procedures.
I have applied for my WP extension on 30 April. At this time, the processing time was 10 days for online application.

My coworker submitted her online application in April and got it in 10 business days. I applied it 14 days later (May 13 th ) and I am stilll waiting for it. I dont understand why the proccessing time is triple after 14 days...

So frustrating CIC is just prolonging our agony. I hope they would realize that. I thought they're good when it comes to processing period. Usually, those applying for PRs get theirs before their 15th month.

I think it's a simple reason.
It will go down very many online applications.
And they come after with the processing

And it was not a jump.
It was only 10 days. Then 17 days.
Then 26 days.
And this weekend there were 32 days.
Maybe it is today again a few days more ;D

Hello Everyone,
Update- Applied PR under AINP category(H1b visa), got employment offer from alberta company but was not able to join due to serious family health reasons.In between, my application was being process at Detriot and medicals/FBI were done and submitted last year.Recently, i got a notice from CIC and AINP that my file has been closed as i was not able to join the employer in Alberta.( i was very near to get PR).
can someone please advise how to proceed?I was ready to join the company who offered me job last year but employer has closed the position this year.
Looks like all efforts done for last 3 years to get canada PR is dumped....please guide if the process of PR can be continued..Loosing Canada dream!

I think that does not look so good for you.
With you, everything starts from zero

No other option.

You need a new employer.
Or you must / can apply directly through the federal progam for a PR
