application received: november 24, 2011
medical received feb 21, 2012

eCAS status:

application received: november 24, 2011
medical results have been received
ppr... still waiting as of july 9,2012

I don't think its Ottawa causing the delay. It's Detroit and rest of the visa offices who are going to issue PPR. Ottawa just does security checks and forwards it on to the visa offices.

I heard sending enquiry within normal processing time will delay your application...

Is that true?

I don't think so, not with the electronic file system. It used to when everything was paper based as they had to dig into the files.

How is your file doing for PR....mine dates where same like yours, they start processing my file on may 16, my medicals are also done...now just waiting for passport request...

Hey, I saw some people's processing time, some of them have not heard anything for years since medical received.

How it happened?

some of them get ppr soon (1-2 months), and some of them take more than 1 year..

why? you have any idea?

It looks like they have a way too much staff working on the CEC. We are supposed to go through the same process on Federal level, how can it be that fast? This totally doesn't make sense to me. Oh well, what can we do but wait? Fingers crossed!

Nope. Not at all. I saw they keep putting people into In Process, but no one seems to get PPR...
