Nope, nothing yet. It doesn't seem a lot going on these days. I don't know if they are overwhelmed with all the applications from Buffalo. My ecas is still medical received, not even in process yet. One of my friends got ppr on Tuesday, she applied on Nov 17.

Hey, I saw some people's processing time, some of them have not heard anything for years since medical received.

How it happened?

some of them get ppr soon (1-2 months), and some of them take more than 1 year..

why? you have any idea?

I don't know. I am guessing it might depend on the country of origin and complexity of the case, or the officer's speed.

I will be in the States the last week of August. Does anybody know how many days they give to submit the passport and how long it takes Detroit to return it? I am afraid I'll get ppr during that time....

Hey lilbabu,

Buffalo said that they had to receive my passport within 90 days of their request. I am sure Detroit has similar deadlines.

One friend got PPR from Detroit today,

His medical exam was done around May 20th, 2012.

His on line status still shows, "in process"

we received your application.........
we start to process...........
medical results have been received..............

My online status hasn't changed since Medical Received. I don't know how long it will still take. I will give it another one or two months.

Is your friend under PNP or CEC? When did he apply initially? As far as I know, CEC is much faster than PNP.

How do you guys know that.

I only know my files transferred from Buffalo to Ottawa on the day I received my File No..

Now I am worried if I get ppr next month, I probably can't send my passport right away because I have a trip to go on August 24.

If they can't send it to me within the next two weeks, they'd better not send it to me until end of August.
