I was just wondering if the cancellation had anything to do with your dependent's PCC. But, based on this, "Your Police certificate from India was not provided. This document is required based on address/background history from January 2006 to July 2009. It appears you resided six months or more in that country...", it seems the officer was somehow unable to find your PCC from India.

Any luck with the call center?
Unfortunately not. After going through the selection process it forwards me to a number which is unavailable for the area I am calling from! I emailed "question@cic.gc.ca" as suggested by one of the representatives that I spoke to when someone picked up the call. Got a response 5 hours later that I should be using IRCC's webform to communicate with CIC.

Sad part is, they haven't refunded the money.. else I could have gone ahead with a second application!

Well, just wait for a response to your CSE submitted through the web form and hope that your file gets re-opened.

Also, check if the cancellation letter has any details mentioned about the visa office/processing center at the end. If so, try to send a direct email explaining your situation and attach the same files containing all the PCCs. Include screenshots of your MyCIC account showing the proof of submission of the PCCs. If you cannot send a direct email, do this using the online web form.

Good luck!

Unfortunately no info on which processing center was handling the case.

Then, this is all you've got:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

If you submit a new CSE, do not forget to include screenshots of your MyCIC account showing the uploaded documents - PCCs.

Dear experts, I have a unique situation. My wife is in India and I am in US. She is coming to US in last week of June. Now I am going to apply for FBI PCC here in US for me. I am confused about applying the same for my wife, will it work out if I ask my wife to complete the FD-258 card with her fingerprints taken in India and FEDEX it to me and I will send it to FBI office.

Since she will be coming to US on June last week, would that create any issue on the validity of the FBI PCC when I submit my final express entry application?

Thanks in advance.

Did that. Wonder how long do I have to wait to hear back about this. It's been 10 days now since I filed the CSE. Forum posts says anything between 10 days to 30 days. If they refunded the money, I would have just reapplied, but that's not happened either!

This is pretty frustrating and I can sorta understand how you must be feeling right now. Just wait another 20 days. If you don't hear anything, talk to a lawyer and have them contact CIC. But this will probably end up costing you as much as paying for another application.

Lol.. that is hilarious to hear. The letter explaining the reason for cancellation clearly states that all the money will be refunded. Sadly, there is no info provided on their website on who to contact so that I can get that cash back!

You could try talking to a different agent at the call center.

Hey, I thought your application was refused. If its refused, they don't pay back the application fee.

If it was rejected, then its a different story.

There are 2 fees
-Application
-Right of permanent residency

You will get refunded for the second one ($490) only. It takes 6 weeks for it to be processed tho. If you get GCMS notes they will show the day it was sent to process for refund. And it will be deposit backed to the credit card you used.

The letter says both fees will be returned.

It was rejected (as incomplete).
