My employer is doing the paper PNP application for me, so I'm not going to bother with the EEPNP.
Are you aware that this is a longer process? 3 months for employer to be screened and approved and another 3 months for candidate to be approved. I say this as someone who's also had employer assistance with PNP. I'm still waiting on the employer approval to come back, (Ontario gov confirmed receipt on March 31) Also this is more expensive ($2000 versus $1500 for OOPNP). The OOPNP just seems like a handier option to me

Yeah.

The application was received April 30. My IEC permit expires October 2015. My lawyer reckons I have enough time.

I'm still confident of an EE draw.

You should be ok I reckon, would be shocked if points dont dip below the 600 mark by October. The annoying thing for you I guess is you'll prob end up spending $2000 on your PNP app once your employer is approved and you'll get the ITA on one of the lower draws while your PNP app is still being processed. Still getting the ITA is the main thing, it's piece of mind knowing the extra 600 is on the way just in case the points down drop. Kinda like insurance

Yeah. 2K is a small price to pay to be honest. The way I see it is like this, they can't realistically do any draws lower than 735 for the LMIA and PNP crowd. And you won't see a draw with a cut off of 550 either, there Rent that many people above 500, so I think we are pretty good for a draw soon.

Of course the above is completely moot if CIC just do a draw every month to 6 weeks until the end of the year, in order to keep points artificially high. I do think CIC do recognize that a candidate with 500 CRS points is a better candidate in terms of overall integration and contribution to Canada than a guy with 735, but the LMIA indicates a skill shortage that needs to be filled.

Otherwise why would they have had 3 non LMIA PNP draws?

I am also in the same boat, other employer is ready to take me but employer is not willing to apply for lmia. I have 449 points in EE. I am on closed WP and I have valid visa until Jan 2016 but no project in current company and my current company is planning to send me back to home country.
experts,

any advises please, greatly appreciated.

I agree this is my thought process completely. Any drop in points in a future draw and we should get an ITA. There's no way they'd do a 650 draw for example because as you say the math doesn't add up. If draws take place with the same kind of regularity that we've seen up to this point (1-2 draws per month) in the year then I'm positive points will drop down in the not too distant future. Problem is there's no clue as to whether CIC will stagger draws with longer gaps in order to keep the points high. This lack of transparency is frustrating. I know several people in the 300's including one who went to high school and college in toronto, she's at 380 and therefore too low for OOPNP and her permit expires in July. I'm sure that many in March looked at the points dropping into high 400's and thought that it was only a matter a time till points dropped further and into 300's. It's really not a fair situation that CIC puts these people in.

If CIC is aware at this point that draws will never drop below 400 then they should make this public and save people a lot of false hope. At the same time if they do do the full 24 possible draws this years then who's to say points wont drop considerably. In future years CIC should make this process less of a black hole

Hopeless about the AINP, specially with my PGWP expiring very very soon, I don't think pnp is an option for me anymore!
Hopefully in couple weeks we'll see a drop in points on the next draw

The lack of transparency with the draws is frustrating and mildly infuriating. Definitely CIC manipulates the draws.

New EE profile entered there. Hoping to see a PNP invite! But also planning to wait to see next draw in the hopes that accepting invite won't be needed

Hi All,

We are sitting in the same bucket. 468 points.
I recreated our profile this morning to visible to the Ontario PNP but as we are all thinking, do we need a PNP or can we save the $$$....

Anyways, so we wait for the next draw :)
