What is the timeline between the medical control and visa ?

Finally submitted my PR to the Mississauga (April 16th) office as Vienna instructions stated to send it there first.

Now just waiting to forward my FBI background check to the office.

What happens now? Do you hear something via email? What is the procedure now?

If everything is OK, you will receive an email from CIC acknowledging the receipt of your application and completeness and you will also be provided with the UCI and application number so you can track your application's status online. Do not send anything to Vienna unless you are told to do so.

Hello and welcome to the long waiting game. I am a PNP nominee having applied for PR back in June 2015. I received AOR in August 7th and since then nothing. Vienna Visa Office is one of the slowest.

I don't know when they will send me medical request. Do you have any idea ? Will they ask medical at the end of process?

I don't know when they will send me medical request. Do you have any idea ? Will they ask medical at the end of process?

Hi,

I think that you will be asked for medical exam during the upcoming weeks/months as most of the process is finished. Since the processing time for PNP is 15 MONTHS then you should expect to hear from the embassy very soon. I have been invited for an interview on 9th of May.

I was requested to attend the interview and bring the original copies of work experience letters, and diplomas. Of course I will share the interview experience once completed.

I'm Canadian and my spouse in German - we live in Germany and are also applying for the outland spousal sponsorship. We had the exact same thing. We were expecting Vienna and got Ottawa! When I emailed them about it they just confirmed that it has been forwarded to Ottawa.. and now it's 'in process'. According to someone else on this forum, this has been happening with some Vienna applicants. Apparently CPC-Ottawa is a quicker office.. so fingers crossed it's an advantage for us Good luck!

Hi bettymac, Got my CoPR in the mail yesterday 30 april, woohoo! Very quick all together, i hope yours is coming soon. We sent our application in on 10 february 2016 and received decision made on 20 april 2016 > 2 months and 10 days!!! Superhappy, go CIC! However on my copr they filed wrong country of residence > i never lived in Germany..Strange. I wonder if thats going to cause any problems.. I sent a case specific email, hoping to clarify before I land. Want to wish everyone good luck and a superspeedy procedure like ours!

Wow Marli that is super fast! Yay! How fantastic for you!! Congratulations!! When they originally sent us our AOR1 they had spelled my partner's name wrong. I just sent the Ottawa CIC office an email with all my file information and they promptly wrote back and said they had fixed his name. So hopefully that works for you too! Maybe they confused Dutch with Deutsch!? : We can only hope for speediness too!! Ottawa seems to be flying through applications. Fingers crossed ;D

Hello,

I am currently resident of Heidelberg, Germany and have applied for Canada Visitor Visa via ONLINE on 2nd May. Just today I got asked to send my passport to Vienna. Need an urgent information!

1. I'm going to Canada on 14 May 2016. Does the VO have enough time to process and send back my passport?
2. What does a "completed prepaid airway bill" mean?
3. Do I need to include a return envelope or just the postage stamp like the one from Deutsche Post or DHL?

I have to travel on May 14th, so I can't afford to do any mistake at this point.

As promised, I am sharing my interview experience. I appeared at the Canadian Visa Office 30 minutes before the start of the interview. The Officer came and introduced himself, and wanted to see all my original documents as requested such as employment references, and diplomas.

He asked me several questions like why did I choose Canada? Asked about my current job? When I am planning to land in Canada and so on. Everything was general nothing special or particular. After some time he congratulated me and said he's going to send me the medical request by next week.
