Hi RGSS,

As promised, I am sharing my interview experience. I appeared at the Canadian Visa Office 30 minutes before the start of the interview. The Officer came and introduced himself, and wanted to see all my original documents as requested such as employment references, and diplomas.

He asked me several questions like why did I choose Canada? Asked about my current job? When I am planning to land in Canada and so on. Everything was general nothing special or particular. After some time he congratulated me and said he's going to send me the medical request by next week.

Question about timeline....
Outland via Vienna. Currently in Canada as my wife is Canadian and kids are too. I was Canadian until 3 years ago.
So far this is what I have gotten in my application status.... Still waiting for my FBI clearance so i can forward it to the proper authorities.
Additionally just paid the Right to Permanent Residence Fee today. Any help/idea how much longer the process will be?

Hi,

This is a general procedure and nothing to worry about. Have all your medical history documentation available, if you do not have any then it is OK but when asked you have to know the exact dates of any surgery, medical intervention etc.

You will be giving blood for AIDS analysis, and a chest X-ray, weighting, height, and eye checkup.

May I know what country are you from? And how much you'll be paying. I paid 135 euro for me and my spouse and 100 for two children as they did not give blood and did not do the chest x-ray but a simple weighting, height, and eye checkup. Extremely expensive for such simple checkups.

I am from Italy visa office rome. Medical costs 300 euro for adult and 150 per children .
