Hello everyone. Yesterday we went for a medical exam in Belgrade. First I must say that Strangersr wrote an excellent post on page 187, it was so helpful for us. Once again thank you so much Strangersr. I'm gonna be shorter.
We arrived to IOM on time and we waited shortly. Only things that we had to bring with us were our passports and money. Nothing else. No forms, no photos, no nothing. Technician asked us few question, took our blood and photo, we gave our urine, doctor touched our neck and belly and that's it. We finished it in 1,5 hours.
Than we went to Resavska 69 for x-ray scan. Only problem was to find parking. Finally we parked our car on side-walk. My wife and I went up and finished scanning in 9,5 minutes, both. My wife's father waited for us in a car with baby.
So, we started at 8.50 and finished it all around 11.30. Most of it was waiting and finding parking space. Traffic in Belgrade is criminal.
So, be patient, don't let anyone to upset you, read what Strangersr wrote and good luck to all of you.

Why all the hassle? What's the point when person A can send passports directly to Visa office without the involvement of the person B (cousin in Vienna) ? The amount of money person A needs to pay to the courier service is the same, right?

Of course, IN CASE WHERE SUCH A SERVICE EXISTS, which is not a case for serbia. There is no possibility to send passports from serbia via curier and have it back the same way.no one does it

Well If it's any consolation to you I am not shure if anyone does it in Croatia either (although at this point I have not made any enquiries about it cause I am not in that stage... jet... but getting closer every minute )

One thing just crossed my mind ...
If this service is available in Croatia, can't you go to for instance in Osijek and send documents frome there via courier (DHL,FedEx or someone third) and when passports are atamped, VO will return it to you via snail mail on your residental address?
What about that? What do you think of that idea? It is some 200 km from Bg?
Or maybe if you are going soon to vacation on the adriatic coast?

I think that someone from Serbia wrote that they used DHL or Fedex for both ways.
I'm only sure that UPS doesn't do that because I asked. I didn't check with the other two.

I called UPS, DHL and FedEx... Only one of them, i can't remember which one, told me that they can send, but someone there needs to pick it up, and send it back ... Not one of them mentioned snailmail... Eventhough i know some people used such service...And i'm sceptic about it anyway, so i'd rather spend few hundreds euros more to go personally than have it sent back by snail mail

I totally agree that the best option for this last (crucial) faze is to go there in person. Today I just look at the rput plan form Zgareb via viamichelin.com and it said it takes some 4 hours ride from Zg to Vienna. And you have to be there at least at 9AM /half time earlier (to be shure VO will accept your passport/-s)

Has anyone seen ITZ lately?


I would like to summon the power of ITZ's crystal ball to predict the MR arrival for me (application received at CIO 15.12.2014) and anyone else who is around that date. Early Decembar applicants got it a few days ago... Although I have medical exam booked at the end of the month, with ITZ prediction I definitely would better sleep

P.s. Since her visa was issued on 17.04.2015 maybe she's already gone to Canada?

When I applied for visitor visa I used DHL both ways. It was 3-4 years ago, but I know that Vienna sent me my passport back via DHL.

You can send passports through IOM, it's around 5850 din. per passport. Fedex and DHL also do the returning, I know other people used that service.

Hi Guys,
So we sent our passport on Thursday last week by DHL from Prague. Its was signed and received by the embassy on Friday last week.
Unfortunately DHL said we cant buy a pre-paid return voucher that once it is ready for pickup we can other the return service and they will pick up.

How would we know our passports are ready? Will the embassy write us or do we need to contact the embassy? Problem is I need to travel for work to Asia on thursday :-(

When we sent the passports with dhl they included a letter in the package asking them to inform me that passports are ready for pick up so I could call them to send a courier. It was like that, vo sent me mail, I called dhl and they went to pick up passports

I need to really travel on thursday and I fear my passport wont be ready
