Yesterday on my way to home from the field work, I almost got an heart-attack.... My father called my with a news that I received a notice/envelope form the CIC to my former address. As soon as I heard it/at the moment I was excited (though it may be so desperately waiting med request) and I though how things are finally giong in the right direction. 5 minutes later/still during the drive/ another fact come to my mind. I thought that none of you wrote that they got med request by mail. At that point I started to panic thinking of the worst - that my applicaton was returned. As fee was charged in Mart 2015 nothing made sense any more... When I arrived to residental address there was also an notice from the postman that I have some pacage to collect. Since the post office is close by I went there to pick up the mail. It was a letter from the post office saying that they found and delivred my FSW appication submitted to them at the begining of the Nevember 2014 (my 2ND appication after the first app had some issuess regarding the fee payment) and that they want me to return compensation they paid me for lost item (it was around 45 €). By reading that at the moment it clarified the documents that were at my dad's house so I had a bit of relief but still under consciously asking myself what could possibly CIC send to me at this stage of the process? Since I could not wait any more and anxiety was growing from the minute to minute I instantly took my car to the fathers house. At the moment I am sure I could beat the current formula one champion Lewis Hamilton with my driving skills 
As soon as I arrived, father gave me the papers and it was my second app send in Novembar 2014 which they received at the end of April 2015, nearly 6 months since I send it!
In the returning mail there was letter of CIO saying: “ As your application was received at CIO on or after January 1ST we cannot consider your application under Ministerial Instructions and therefore we are returning your application”


Since majority of you are/or close to final setp – to get so desired stamp in your passport – I described what happened to me to encourage you to go to person in Vienna regardless of the cost. We are all here anyway to share our experience, right? Hopefully non of you would have to go to the things I went through and to see how much post values your future/application (earlier mentioned 45 €). Post office(s) & mail can be tricky! Currently my 3rd (Decembar) app is in process ...

I used visa option and it was pretty straight forward, truly do not have a clue which part gives you headache.

Please share your med.exam experience once you complete the exam. Although someone already wrote about it, maybe your story could be different.
