Hi guys,

This thread was last active on may 29, well over a month. I know its because we all have no updates to talk about but vienna seems on a standstill and its somehow strange. Could it be due to PAFSO strike? Although they are not listed as one of the visa offices that are actively on strike. Anyone has any update? I checked the family class thread too and there are no indications that things are moving on that side too. So what are they actually doing for now? Do they just go to work, sip some coffee and go back home? ;D

I don't think that they're on strike.
I got my COPR and landed yesterday.

Guys, I am starting my exchange year on Sept. 9 and want to be in toronto, Canada already 10-12 days before it.
So now I am applying for the TRV+Study Permit. There is a VAC in Düsseldorf but they seem not to be competent enough.... :o

That is why i am trying the online application, not even sending my docs directly to Vienna. i tried calling them and emailing - no response. This is the worst service ever!

do you know what are the processing times if you apply online? And is here any thread helping with online applications, cause i still have troubles with it.
Thanks =)

@steffi thanks for the update and congrats on ur landing. Ur processing was incredibly fast.

@leilak, they have processing times indicated on the website, u can check the information there meanwhile, the times indicated is not always accurate. And yes, they don't pick telephone calls and even if someone picks it up at last, they are likely not able to answer ur question cos they are not visa officers.

such a shame!... I have a problem there cause I've applied online, but also need a TRV, cause i am non-EU citizen. And i haven't sent them my passport, cause i need it... So i dunno if it will even delay the processing...

Resident of the Netherlands. Applied yesterday online for TRV. My journey starts on August 17th.
Read all these posts and started worrying. I already have more than 3000 EUR worth non-refundable tickets booked (to/from Canada and inside Canada).

I honestly didn't think that any visa application can take more than 15 days (the longest service I received so far by Australian consulate). U.S. stamped me visa the same day.

I prepared application quite good, including everything I could include.

I also have extensive travel history—stamps from Australia, New Zealand, U.S., U.K., Ireland, Japan, Israel, some Asian countries during last 2 years.

Do I still have any chance not to lose all these money I already paid?

Can anyone confirm the recent timelines for the applications for the work permit submitted to the Vienna office? How long does it take from submitting the application until receiving the passport back?

As a European currently residing in the US, I submitted the application to the New York consulate, but they are running WAY behind their schedule -- currently they are only processing applications submitted on March 25, so there is no way you can get it done in 2 months like their website claims.

Just curious about the situation in Vienna, does anyone have fresh infos? Thanks

Congrats!

even if Vienna VO is not on strike, they're really slow.
Got my AOR from CIO 41 day back, but still no med request or any other news from them. Meanwhile Manila, Accra, New Delhi are getting MedRequests within 30-35 days.

Correct, they are super slow given everyone's submission on this forum, vienna is slow for seemingly no reason. Other visa offices with much work load and pressure are showing steady progress. Meanwhile, u still have it going good for u being PNP tho, they will likely contact u soon but we FSW seem to be the least of their priority. Sometimes I ask myself, what has vienna been doing for the past 7 month in 2013? Could they have been busy processing only TRV applications? Well other V.Os process TRVs too.

Congratulation...would you please share your timeline with us...
