Are you guys aware of this GCMS notes? I have been on some other threads in the forum and realize that a lot of people are requesting for it, its like a detail notes on the oversea processing,VO assessments and steps of the different elements/checks/ timeline of an immigration application.I think it makes sense to get a find out what VO is up to by requesting for it.

Anyone requested it already?

I got my GCMS file last december - with the exception of some updated personal info (which was done by the Berlin VO around the time they sent the AOR - so without the closure Berlin probably would have finalized it by now) there is nothing in there indicating that Vienna even touched the file. The MI is "met" (done by CIO), everything else is "not started".

You can order the data online through agancies in Canada for $25-$40, usually you will get the file after about one month. It is a pdf file with details of your application and what (if any) work has been done on your file.

I can imagine. You are pre c-50, right? From what I could gather from other threads on this forum, I can only imagine, that this delay is due to external checks, which are being done outside the VO (with the VO awaiting the results, before they can continue processing your application).

The GCMS notes might indicate, what is going on. But then, they might also hide the reason for this while the investigation / check is still ongoing.

I am 2007 applicant and according to the GCMS which I received on May security check was in process... But some part of it was blank.. It might be hidden as you said....I hope this background check get over soon...

Nothing new here, either. The waiting game sucks big time. It is really annoying, that Vienna does not seem to do anything (nothing here, and nothing in the Family thread, either).

But then, they did not do very much last summer, so let's hope for some action in fall (that is THIS fall!)

BTW: did you find any updates on the data / excel sheets? The latest data that I am able to find dates from late march / early april 2013.

As a matter of fact, the update implies nothing cos the figures from oct 2012, Jan 2013 and April 2013 do not reflect a consistent trend when juxtaposed. Selection decision was 56, 154 and 207 respectively. One would expect that the figure under selection decision should be reducing. Although I understand that there might be an increase if more applicants are transferring their cases to Vienna.

However, Final decision is 26, 59 and 34 respectively. One would expect the figure for April 2013 to be at least equal or greater than 59 of Jan 2013. Maybe there are some parameters that have to be considered while reading the data, or that the figures on each release is inconsequential to the previous one. If that is the case, then reading the data is of no use in calculating probabilities. What do u think?

I agree, it is difficult, to extrapolate anything from these stats - since they don't include a column for the applications which have been finalized. So nothing can be gained for MI-3, as long as the numbers don't decline.

However, the increase in applications (persons) can only be true for MI-3 FSW-2, and those who have applied after may 2013. The numbers for pre-c50, MI-1 and MI-2 must decrease, if they work on those. So if these numbers are reduced, at least this indicates which batch they are working upon. And Kenny had tweeted sometime in April 2013, that the new applications (past may 4th 2013) would be in line even behind MI-1. So I assume that they now work on the files from the back, i.e. first pre-c50, then MI-1, and so on. This would also explain, why we are not getting any info (or progress) whatsoever. And as I have already posted earlier - there was a MR and Visa issued to a pre-c50 applicant this spring.

This thread has just made me really depressed! :'( I feel so bad for all of you guys who applied way before us and still have heard nothing! We applied on 10 May 2013 (FSW) so I guess we have a LONG wait ahead of us!

Has anyone here received anything at all like a sign of life from Vienna lately?
For your information No one from December 2012 and after has received any info of the fate of his/hers application status
We were a little hopeful, that after summer vacations were over, Vienna was going to start informing people about the progress of their apps but nothing is moving. I mean total silence!
It seems that this VO's employees have just walked out and closed shop
Any ideas anyone?

Yes guys,the waiting continues and seemed endless!Nothing on my part so far,except that I have applied for GCMS notes 3 weeks ago to get a sense of my application and still waiting.

However there is this ruling on the strike which somehow favours PAFSO and the Gov't of Canada (represented by the Treasury Board) has indicated their interest to appeal the Labour Board's decision against the Treasury Board's bad faith bargaining preconditions. the Treasury Board president Tony Clement indicated on his twitter page that they will get into bargaining and negotiations with PAFSO this week and only within their mandate while respecting the Canadian taxpayers. Lets hope they can find a common ground for the strike to be suspended as indicated by PAFSO on their facebook - that once negotiation starts,strike actions will be suspended, and in the event of no agreement,it will resume -.

Mataiz looking at your timeline,I should say it makes me very discourage.Are you actually saying you did medicals about 1.5 year ago (since April 2012)?And haven't heard from them since then? That would be appalling if the case....

It seriously puzzles me to think why is Vienna acting up like this. Never took part in the strike. The volume of applicants is certainly not like those VO's in ASIA.

unfortunately yes,, I am still waiting,, I sent enquiry. And they replied that they did not recieved background check result yet!!!
I applied 2 times in 3 months for GCMS and I found they start security check. in2013 !!! 8 months after medical recieved... So I just stuck in this process in 6 years and they dont care about anyone...

I'm the PNP applicant. My case is in Vienna since the 7th of June without any requests from their side.

I've asked them via CSE if the ned request has been sent and got following reply:

Please be informed that your application is still within our processing time target, information about our processing times can be found on our website at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp#europe.
Medical instructions have not been sent to you yet. This will be done at a later date.

So, at least, someone is checking mails.
