Hiya

It does now yes. But when Sponsor2012 got into the game the processing time was only 9 months. After all I believe this processing times are not adhered to other VO"s. For example Rome. It is now on 13 months (was 14 about 2-3 months ago) but all the applicants that dealt with Rome took their COPR'sin less than 6 months from AOR.
This is why there is no ROME Thread in our forum. How can anyone explain Vienna? God only knows!

Well, the processing times indicate only, how long it took to process 80% (I think) of the applications in the past. They are not intended to be an indicatior about future processing times.

And no, I have not a clue what Vienna is doing, and why there was virtually no substantial communication from them for months. Even when you consider, that this forum might represent about 20-25% of the global applicants - the multiplying factor still remains zero.

Just to let you guys know that we did hear from Vienna as well - they sent a request asking for my PCC for the States (which is now in process but stuck due to US shutdown).

We are FSW 2013 and applied on 10 May 2013.

Oddly, it appears most other VOs re FSW 2013 are asking for PCCs along with Medical Requests and visa fees while Vienna only asked for PCC. I think it was a stalling tactic on their part.

Anyway - here's hoping for everyone that they get their act together soon.

Thanks for the info. When did you get this request, and how (e-mail or snail mail)?
According to my GMCS notes, the VOs seem to do a preliminary check on the file re completeness (this was done in Berlin, though).

Since Vienna seems convincingly useless, I am somehow considering transferring my case to Accra. I could process my case in Accra Visa Office too. And Accra Visa Office is showing a steady and visible progress. I have not made up my mind but I might move it if nothing happens before the end of the year.
I am afraid if that is going to be a smart decision or turn out to be counter productive but I am currently doing my research on that.

Since Vienna seems convincingly useless, I am somehow considering transferring my case to Accra. I could process my case in Accra Visa Office too. And Accra Visa Office is showing a steady and visible progress. I have not made up my mind but I might move it if nothing happens before the end of the year.
I am afraid if that is going to be a smart decision or turn out to be counter productive but I am currently doing my research on that.

Considering, how long it takes to transfer files, to sort them in to the local system, etc. - it might be rather counterproductive. Just look at how long it took Vienna so far to reorganize all the additional files, and it must have been similar for London, when they got the files from Islamabad. But there were quite a number of files involved, not just one, so you might get a lucky break.

It is no surprise any more. I gave up on expecting anything from Vienna as they are not issuing anything to anybody since early this year. So I am suffering from the Vienna defeatism
Rome, Paris, London and Ottawa VO's are handing out PPR's even to applicants from April. (Just today an April Applicant was sent PPR)
Can anyone here rationalize why Vienna is behaving like this? I am driving my self to the wall trying to reason such a behavior!

Yea even including Accra VO, I had been checking their thread regularly, a feb 2012 fsw applicant just got her MR and all others up until August 2011 Applicants got their MRs around July-August and they have already gotten their Visas now almost few weeks after the medical request. All these VOs are visibly progressing in line with expectations, it is only our own VO that remains in an inexplicable state of coma.

And without any explanation whatsoever.
The comatose condition began after the closure of Berlin and Belgrade VOs last April - at first, this was kind of to be expected, because of reorganization issues. However, nothing has happened since (at least in economic classes, I am only aware of two pre-c50 cases which were processed and finalized this spring).
