I do not want to allude to incomplete transaction, but...
Have you checked whether they tried to withdraw the money or not? They have clearly stated in the RFPR email they sent that they expect the exact amount of money to be paid into their account.
I think that the only way to be sure that no additional costs will be needed is to pay with CC.

I would like to contribute to this „payment discussion“ with my experience... so how you could learn something from mistakes I have made...

While submitting my FSW application for the first time (in 06/2014) I paid the cost of fee (550 CAD) with direct bank deposit, following the instructions read on the official web site of the Vienna visa office. The officer in charged for inital screening of the appication returned it to me, with the explanation that the fee was not received??? In that application, I send the original bank deposit draft as well as th bank transactions for the account, but since he/she returned it to me all of that was not enough to him/her.
Afterwards (3 months passed from the sent date in June till application came to revision only for inital screening + 2,5 more weeks it traveled back with response to Croatia), I send the same documents (begining of the November) with a little change in the fee payment form (IMM 5620) stating this time that CIO can charge my credit card for the fee, and it went well – the fee was finally charged...

Although I considered bank draft to be the safer choise of payment, so that was my first option, it turned out that it was not the best option. Bearing that in mind I strongly suggest to anyone that credit card is the option whith which you could eliminate the possibilities of the (possible) error during any sort of fee payment. Eventhough it is not the safest option it is the quickest and the most reliable one!
I hope my experience would help other people not to make the same misstakes I have made - it cost me at least six months any by this time I could have my PR in my pocket...

P.s. If someone is interested I could publish the document where I read the instuction how to make the fee payment with bank draft...

(I mean, you can not be sure what will be the currency exchange rate on the date of receiving your application/payment, could you?)

That is exactly what I have tried to explain. I had the same experience with the overseas payment and it was for other purpose, therefore I did not write up.

It's a little late to ask, I wrote wrong number on payment receipt, instead of Client ID I wrote my file number, would that cause a problem? ???

Don't worry! It should not be a problem, since they can make connection and pull the info from your file number if necessary.

i can relate to you guys, who have never been abroad, and the "fear" of unknown and effects of "leaving everything and everyone" behind... however, not one of us (i'm pretty confident NO ONE!) has decided to take this step because they were bored. everyone is looking for better future for its kids or themselves. if we could manage to fulfil all of the requirements for this program, and fill out those never ending forms, trust me, you will be fine over there! and once your paychecks start pouring in, you will forget about most of unease your relocation has caused. and after a while, when you become financially stable, and you afford so send some money to your family or relatives, you will feel very proud and contented. so, try to focus on that feeling everything will be much easier 8)

Had opportunity to see different parts of the world (not as much as I would like but not bad for now), never been to Canada though. I really don't have any issues with new environments, I even anticipate it, discovering whole new world there. As for leaving the family and friends, I think that they are in more 'trouble' since they are staying here, for them only change is that we will not be around all the time, for us everything changes so we won't have time to think about it so much. Actually, I think you can't really prepare yourself for emotions that will come, one needs to go there first on the other hand, my husband didn't travel a lot abroad so he has more 'questions' about everything. But, we are both confident that everything will be fine at the end. We just became very impatient to start as soon as possible.
I'm not sure if I really can explain the feeling I'm having... from my point of view, when you change continents it's just like you went on another planet since everything you are used to is so far away, and one has to detach from it in order to attach to new environment. At that point some people start feeling uneasy. I had this feeling-situation some years ago when I was in one far away country planning to stay longer (at the end I didn't but I can't forget that feeling), so I know it's inevitable to go through that process, at least for me.

well i dont know what to say...but couple months ago...when i have to add new family member ...i paid on same way like now( i checked their web page where is correct currency...like 150$ = 170 euro..)
hmmm im going to send email to vienna and ask them ...

no need to defend yourself! as you said, one needs to go through the process, to be sure how everything will turn out. and we are all different, and most likely, our experiences will differ. i used to live in the states long ago, and been visiting canada often, and all i can tell you - everything is the same as it is here - just totally opposite!
we will be experiencing all different kind of emotions and all that is OK, and i am completely sure that one day, hopefully after a year or so, we will gather on this forum, or some else similar, and share our awesome experiences from the day we've arrived till that day! 8)
