@Srbijadamus ..OK... I see where u are coming from... It is true that what they do sometimes doesn't conform with the information they give but all in all, just be positive. Applying for visa is like a game, it is not always over until its actually successfully over.

Not because he is from my country but i do agree with Srbijadamus. They definitely should put on web page and maximum time, not just minimum. For student permit minimum is 30 days, what does mean could be 30 but also 90 or 120. So i am not able now to apply to another country because they are holding my passport or to travel for who knows how long and they might refuse my application and than would be too late for anything else. Tell us, "we will hold your passport for 3 months" and than i can be ready for that, 3 months ago i saw that minimum was 2 weeks for study permit and now is 30 days...

Vienna just replied my enquiry and I quote: "You will be informed about the further steps in due course - in the course of the coming 3-6 months approximately."

Another maximum 6 months? Are they kidding me? Well.. just to let us fsw with 7 months wait know.

Vienna replied to my CSE (the application is now 16 1/2 months old) in apologetic, but typically cryptic words:
"Please be informed that due to the heavy workload of our Visa Office after the closure of the Berlin and Belgrade Visa Offices there are unfortunately delays in processing times in all economic immigration classes. You will be informed about the further steps in your application in due course."

I am looking forward to the publication of the quarterly statistics in fsw-classes, which should be available within the next days or weeks.

Thanks for the feed back, so they declined to quote a time frame which makes things as vague as possible. Well, let's wait for the stats.

BC2013,Thanks for sharing.How long did it take for them respond to your CSE?I sent them a CSE 17 days ago (1st April 2013) and no response from them until now.Now this makes me worry,why have not they replied my CSE? This doesn't feel good added to the long wait so far...Guys any ideas why no response over two weeks now ?

It took them exactly 2 weeks to reply. However, I was a little concerned since there was no automated reply-email like in previous cases.

They have replied to CSEs within one day to almost a full month, so I would not be concerned that you did not get a reply yet. They will reply within the given timeframe (4 weeks, or so).

Hi Gearman, Go to ur profile page by clicking on ur user name, on the left, U would see "Modify Profile" and choose the option "forum profile information"
and fill in ur information, all the fields are open so that means it is not necessary to complete all. Just save the info u have filled in and it will reflect as appropriate.

Thanks Anvaller, I have been to the field "modify profile" and all I have there is "account related information" which when i click on,doesn't show me forum profile information but my basic profile information.I think BC2013 is right,I am not sure I have posted up to 10 post so far.......lol, probably that is the reason why.So i guess I just have to be posting here and there to make that number huh? even without something meaningful to say?..lol..

LOL..Gearman.. well may be yes.. if u surf around some other threads u will definitely find interesting topics to participate in, just do that and u would even end up getting more informed somehow. It is true that profile functions are limited for a newbie.
