I just surfed a little bit and came to a conclusion that guest houses are expensive... Even those safehomestay.com stuff is creppy.. I found sunnyhome stay economical but the problem is they don't have attached bathroom...

Please suggest me few guest houses that are cheaper with attached wash room and in Toronto as I would not be doing any jobs for at least 3 months there...

M single and not married yet... And i don't have anyone over there...

unfortunately even my bro wouldn't be knowing this.....as he himself stayed at my relatives place.

So first things first, do you have any relative in any part/province of Canada.....If yes, stay with them until u get settled in Canada.

This is not to bog you down, but this is what I learnt from my bro.......he told don't come here with big expectations at start(you should expect a better standard of living and survival in the first 6 months).

As months go by and u get acclaimtise and get a job, Canada is so beautiful that u would never come back to ur homeland.

I don't know how old are you......but lets say u r 25. Its as simple as this, if u lived 25 yrs of ur life in ur homeland.....its not easy to go and settle somewhere in just a couple of months. Be strong and you would have a wonderful life.

I would suggest you to check on www.kijiji.ca and go to Mississauga/Brampton side and look for either single bedroom basement or sharing rooms or apartments. This will be alot cheaper and easier to find because alot of availability.
you can easily find single bedroom basement for $500 Max if you are single. This will include a bedroom, living room, kitchen and washroom all for yourself (this could be most likely unfurnished but most owners provide you bed or matress to start up with)

or look for shared accomodation which will provide you a bedroom of your own but kitchen and washroom will be shared. This will most likely in between $300-$500 depends upon condition if its furnished or unfurnished (furnished means with bed and matress and computer table and chair) unfurnished would be just room and you need your own bed.

www.kijiji.ca is fastest way to find room in Greater Toronto Area. Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke or Malton. Malton is area where you find alot of Indians (Punjabi's) and Malton is easily accessible to all GTA. I call it central area because you can get bus service easily and takes around 45 mins to go every side of city.

I can definitely suggest about the area because I lived there for 5 years. I have lived in every part of Greater Toronto Area in this time.

Malton is the central of whole GTA and there would be cheapest to find a Basement and also bus service is good reason behind this is Malton has bus service of Mississauga city and Mississauga bus transfer also works in Brampton Transit service, so it saves money in that way too.

and also malton bus goes to Toronto Subway Train Station which is faster way to get to downtown Toronto in 45 mins.

so if anybody wants to go for job interviews in brampton, mississauga or downtown Toronto it will be easier to stay in malton.

According to not working for three months i wouldn't say its best idea because living is expensive at starting because you don't get perfect job in first couple months. so as soon as you land make sure to get a monthly pass of mississauga transit and try to get out of house as much as possible and drop resume in nearby Gas Stations. Gas Stations you can get weekend job which covers living expenses so you save your own money from India.
