I guess that someone u referring is me ..... If u say spouse cannot be added to the appln before visa issuance, refer to the below links:

What needs to be included in the application, if u want to include ur spouse before visa issuance:

· processing fee for your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)
· notarized birth certificate of your spouse
· copy of your spouse's valid passport
· 3 recent photographs of your spouse according to the specifications
· a notarized "no" criminal activity certificate for your spouse
· a completed application kit with all the requirements
· updated IMM0008 Generic and updated IMM5406 "Additional Family Information" form for yourself.
· a "Certificat de Sélection du Québec" for your spouse ( in his or her name), if you wish to immigrate to the province of Québec (http://www.micc.gouv.qc.ca/fr/index.asp).

Jaggy you right, I also heard that one can add spouse even after medical but in that case both of them have to take the medical again. Principle applicant plus added spouse. and process take longer. I am also planning to get marry before my medical test. My fiancee doesn't have passport so have to wait until her passport come.

@ Babbu are you sure that one can not add spouse after medical issued?

Well Jaggy, I don't want to pull this issue..coz I have a very close friend struggling of it (back in UK) and he is still fighting to get his status..Now he has hired a solicitor and "The Immigration specialist suggested him the same....what I have mention in my last post" CHC had advised them to re-apply a new case and he would be able to add his spouse!! If he may win the case in court...that would be a lost of 2-3 years for him. Better post a thread with positive result of someone who had got visa (who had added his/her spouse to case after MR).

You can't add your spouse in process after medical if you are a MI-2 or MI-3 applicant!!

Pre-june and old applciants(MI-1) were allowed to do so, because it use to take 12-24 months to get Visa after medical..!! If MI-1 applicant will try to do so, he/she gonna fu**ed his case..!! His is a very good example from my friend,who's story was mentioned earlier by me!!
The case stories u may have heard would be of an old applicant..so be careful !! I don't want u to make a mess of your PR!!

I have posted my opinion according to my knowledge and personal experience of my best friend...pulling out the issue and posting more example can't change my opinion...I will stick with my opinion, coz that is a real life example of someone very close to me. If you are agreed then follow it...or choice is yours!!

all of my Jan,Feb and March family members...let me clear one thing..m not getting married soon that m asking these questions..i was just discussing this issue...because since morning this forum was completely silent...one question was pinching me since yesterday...that for example if some one get visa stamped in June 2012..he can fly to canada till march/april 2013..so between this period cant he get married???and suppose if he get married then whether his PR will be canceled?sorry to all of you if i bother anyone..i just wanted to have a healthy discussion...

CIC has strongly recommended to keep the correspondence minimum... Adding spouse at any stage of application will cause of addition correspondence which will surely delay the process !! Coz spouse details will undergo BC and SC..coz you are not claiming a visitor visa for honeymoon....you are claiming PR for your spouse and there is 110% grantee chance of interview!!

CIC gives an applicant 12 Months to enter in Canada from the date of his/her Medical. If u will get married or adopt a child during this period...that will arise suspicion of fraud/fake case...Coz in past, ppl charged millions for contract marriage...As u know u can adopt a child (under 18) also claim PR for him. Many ppl are ready to pay healthy amount if there 16 year old son will get PR......bcoz of this issue, there is a high alert in all embassy.
Secondly, if u will apply to add a spouse/adopted child/child to your case after PA visa...PA won't be able to fly to Canada!!

Its recommended from my side to land in the Canada get PR card..then come to your country to get married and will be best option in my view...
110% interview for sure if addition is done cause due to some Fake marriage...
Even though you are married many of my friends in Toronto has advised me to come alone so that you can sustain there and then when you have settled or find a job then ask your spouse to accompany ASAP...In my case i am single applicant if anyone is vacant then you can offer me a marriage proposal....

Nope there is no way to cancel visa......atleast I don't know of any. While ur PP is not stamped, if u get married ....u can still include ur spouse in the appln and all BC and SC alongwith medicals will also happen for ur spouse. It can certainly delay the whole process.

After visa is stamped, he cannot cancel it just to include his spouse appln in it.

Just follow wat babbubhai advised.....as per CIC timelines, it would take 6 months to process spouse visa appln thru sponsorship.

Mate whats your final catch, i think the answer will be no if somebody ask for your recommendation on above...Because its too close in the run to take the risk...I personally will recommend him to land and then to return to do the needful...

babbudetailed and accurate answer..+1 for u veer...bt ??? for this statement..Secondly, if u will apply to add a spouse/adopted child/child to your case after PA visa...PA won't be able to fly to Canada!! why PA cant go to canada...i.the only reason which can be a hurdle (in my opinion wat u have discussed) that after visa, marriage will raise lot of questions..
