Do you have an idea why it took such crazily long time?

Medical was done on Apr 4.

Do u have an idea when did they receive it ? It should show up on ur e-cas. Thanks !

I am writing this here, because this may help other people who have waited a long time as well. During this whole time, I emailed CPC-Ottawa every couple of months to see what is happening with my file. They always said it was in process and I have to keep my correspondence at a minimum.
Last week I got tired of waiting and since my medicals were going to expire in month, I wrote a letter to our MP and asked for his help. I told him that I was frustrated with the communication (or lack thereof). He answered the day after and the pass request came yesterday.
The interesting thing for me was the communication improvement yesterday. The officer in charge emailed me first asking what I prefer to do, getting the pass request and landing before the medical exam expiry date, or getting an extension. I told him I preferred the first option. He emailed back instantly with a nice email asking me to wait for further instructions. A couple of hours later I had the pass requests. I really think that email to MP helped.

I have no idea. My guess is security check.

The_Prince, no, I have no idea. Unfortunately there was no relevant trace on my e-cas as at 10:10 pm MST.

Thank you. I suspect that they don't normally update people's eCAS even though they send them passport request.
