As far as I know, you can not have two applications in the same class. Since PhD stream is under FSW, I think you can not apply for another category of FSW. However, I am not 100 % sure.

I had two letters. One for RA and one for TA. The RA was signed by my supervisor while the TA was sgined by the department head. Both letters were accepted.

I went to the MP office and told them that I want to know about my immigration application status. The MP assistant called CIC and inquired about the status of my application.

I also think that the proposed act will pass. We did not get any adaptability points for being in Canada. Now, they won't count the days that we have been in Canada as a non PR!

You don't need any official letter.

You can give the address of your department as the organization that the IELTS result should be sent. The IELTS will send the results to your department and then you can get it from them.
