Don't worry about the cap. They'll just return your application if the cap is reached. You can then re-submit it after the cap is reset.absolute_boy97 said:I need to send my application but I am not sure of the cap is reached or not. on the CIC page it says: "there is a cap of 1,000 applications in this stream, from May 4, 2013 to April 30, 2014" . So does it mean that if I send my application after April 30 it will be rejected? should I wait for the next round? I am really confused here. if say this round ends by end of April 2014, when does the new round begin? is it right after the April 30?
Thanks. Do you have any idea how long after the cap is reached does the new round start ? (i.e. how long would I wait for them to reset the cap? )Houra said:Don't worry about the cap. They'll just return your application if the cap is reached. You can then re-submit it after the cap is reset.
Check the tracker. They seem to be working on Dec '12 & Jan '13 applications.musicinthedark said:PER issued on May 6, 2013.
Does anyone with similar progress have any update from CIC?
Thanks.
It is still early to hear from them, you may want to order your GCMS notes to see your file progress.musicinthedark said:PER issued on May 6, 2013.

Same question here + for those from Quebec who were rejected because of the "intention to leave quebec" issue, at what stage (approximately how long after they first send out the application) does the officer tell them about his concerns about them leaving quebec and asks them to supply convincing documents?unruffledterry said:Hi all. I'm just wondering if anyone can estimate how long the process here takes from the time your documents reach Sidney to the time you get your PR. Best case scenario, worst case scenario and averages will be appreciated. I know its hard to put a finger on it, but any response is welcomed. Thanks.
You must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada. You cannot borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use this money to pay the costs of living for your family (even if they are not coming with you).
Wait a week then order your GCMS to make sure that they attached them to your file.qp said:hi, i have a few questions please: i'm in my second year of phd;
1) do you think i can use only my ra/ta funding letters as proof of funding? do you know anybody that has done that?
thanks
I think the new Capacity of PhD Stream will be reset on May, unless they cancelled this stream.2MarriedPhDs said:Hi guys,
I finally submitted my updated reference letters.
I received a general acknowledgement email, but should I expect to get a more specific reply?
Thanks again for all your support
According to the tracker, it is between 18 to 25 months.absolute_boy97 said:this is kind of important to me, does anyone know how long should I wait after the 1000 cap is reached for the next round? will it be like several months?
