Should I not write rupees? Do I need to convert it into CAD? If I convert, you know how miniscule the amount will become. :)
hahahaa, I was kidding and referring to the same bureaucratic system we come from. Write INR, that's what i mentioned. Definitely dont convert domestic earning to CAD.

Hi all

I got my documents request from Ottawa yesterday. They're asking for PCCs and Proof of Funds. I've already sent in the PCCs, informed them by email and got a response indicating receipt and stating that they were added to my file. Should I email them again to confirm that they have received the documents?

Also, I'm in a bit of a quandary over the proof of funds. My money is in 3 separate bank accounts. 1 in Canada and 2 in my home country. I have a TFSA account here with $7500 CAD at present but the amount 6 months ago was $3300, so I believe that this is the amount that counts towards proof of funds. At home, I have $6500 CAD in one account (there for over a year) and $9000 CAD in another (there for over a year). The problem is that both these accounts are joint accounts with my sister. All the money in the first is mine, however she has saves money in the second account and the total balance is $42000 (including my $9000). Additionally, the second bank does not issue 6 month bank statements. I'm not sure how to combine these to reach the threshold amount and for the joint accounts how to let them know that the money is mine and not my sisters. Should she to do an affidavit indicating that the money is mine? Any suggestions will be welcomed.

Thanks

There's something else I forgot to add. From what I've seen, some people who applied before May 4th are being refused because of the adaptability point (a friend of mine recently got rejected for no adaptability). I did my 1 year masters in Canada and have completed 4 years of PhD so far but given the wording of the previous requirements, I don't think I'd qualify for those points based on this. Is it possible to add information for a relative in Canada at this stage of the application? I have 2 aunts in Canada, but I didn't include this before because it would have been quite a hassle to get birth certificates, etc from home. However, if it strengthens my application by giving the adaptability points needed to be approved and it is possible to add it to my file I can get the necessary documents and proof. Any advice is welcome.

Thanks

You could certainly supplement your file with any additional information before a final decision is reached on your application. So, in case you have the documents such as the birth certificate, passport copy etc do go ahead and update asap. It would be a good idea to order CAIPS to see how many points you have been given during the initial assessment at the CIO. This should also include information on when your file is likely to be evaluated by Ottawa. Also, is this the first time you are being requested for documents? what does your timeline look like? please share them with the forum in case you feel comfortable doing so.

I think, for your case, you should definitely see a lawyer.

I worried on the same point. I have pharmacist work experience from India. I mentioned the salary scale in rupees itself. Hope it is acceptable.

Hi guys,

I obtained an updated work experience letter from my supervisor and included the lead statement as described in the NOC. I will email it and also sent it to Ottawa. Should I just mention that this is an updated letter in my email? Or do I need to explain anything?

Just mention that it is an updated reference letter with more elaborated description of duties compared to the one that is on file.

I sent updated reference letters on 5th of June 2013 (I received PER/ file number on 3rd of June) and inquired yesterday (10th of June, 2013) whether the documents were added to my file. Today I received confirmation email from CPP-Ottawa that my documents are received.

This link is pursuant to an earlier post by Kazi. Delays are ok until we are not rejected on flimsy grounds
