Hello all,

I sent my police clearance to CPPO. I only sent the English translation and now they have emailed me to send the original one as well.
Do I need to again translate it and send with original one or it should be enough to only send the original as they already have the translation?

Thanks,

Hi MJ2,

Did you get document request, or did you send it proactively? I would say that, since they only asked for the original, and since they already attached the translation to your file, then it's probably okay to just send the original (though the paranoid me keeps saying that you should still attach the original, just in case). I think one of the members here did exactly that, but could not recall exactly who.

Hello guys,

I received a document request on Friday, April 26. They want to see my new bank statement and account history for 6 months.

I was expecting to hear something from them by the end of April because I got my PER on May 1, 2012. It is remarkable that I emailed them myself on April 24 asking if they received my graduation letter and updated letter of employment (after aidina's post). They replied on April 26 saying that the graduation letter was on my file, but employment letter was not, and asked to resend it. Literally 4 minutes later they sent me a document request. This further supports the observations of aidina and asbereth---sometimes CIC officers forget to add attachments to our files, so it is always wise to check with them after sending something. Obviously, I received automated replies to all my communications to the OttPilot-Immigration, but apparently that really means next to nothing.

When you update my info in the tracker, please also change my "Date application reached CIO" to February 17, because this is the date on my eCAS.

Thanks asbereth,

I sent it proactively cause it was missing in my documents. I am gonna send only original though they have put a general note at the end of their email that all documents must be accompanied by English translation.

Hi Guys,

I had not checked this forum for a long time because of so many things happening in my life recently. But I thought I have to share this news. We got Medical and RPRF requests yesterday. It took them one and half year to process our application, but it seems that at last they got that long awaited police clearance certificate.

Congrats, man :) So they clubbed RPRF and medical requests together? My request for RPRF did not come with medical, so apparently things are always a bit different for different applicants (some people got requests for RPRF even before they got requests for medical).

Thanks asbereth! Actually they came in separate emails and RPRF email got here earlier.

Guys,

CIC received my application on April 10, 2013. My credit card was charged on April 15, 2013. But I have not received my file number yet. However, in eCAS I can check the status of my application ("In Process: We received your application for permanent residence on April 10, 2013.") using my client ID.

Any suggestions on when I may get my file number?

BTW, I am from Bangladesh. My application has 2 persons- me and my spouse, and I have RA experience in back home and RA/TA experiences in Canada.

Thanks,

I got my PER 2 weeks after my cc was cashed, so I think you will get yours this week at most hopefully.

Hi folks,

My application actually has been received for 14 months now, and the maximal processing time in our case is 15 months.

But I just checked my eCAS using UCI, and it still said "we received your application on .......". Nothing else. What should I do? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Once you exceeded the maximum processing time, you can contact them and they are supposed to give you an answer. Wait to the next update of the processing times!
