Under the new point system, how many points would you get? You said your language is max, would yo be able then to get 24 out of 28 for language under the new point system?erfan1985 said:My situation is a long story!!
I have MD from Iran which is evaluated as MSc in Iran, But Bsc here!!Meaning that I don't have Msc, though it is mentioned in my degree that it is equal to MSc!! I am not sure how the new credential assessment is gonna assess it! any idea?
That MD includes 18 months internship. I don't count on it! should I?? It was at the end of my studies, though still a part of it!
I have 15-16 months work experience after my MD! My language and age points are max!
I started from Msc, but transferred to Phd! so I have no master based on their definition! By the way, what is ''professional degree'' which receives equal point to masters??
If they only count my internship, or evaluate my degree as msc, or get me those adaptability points, I would be eligible!
Or I have to forget about it until I get my Phd!
Sorry to hear about your rejection, Ace_2012. I know how it feels to receive such a letter. To help us understand what was the problem, could you please post the part of your employment letter(s) listing the duties?Ace_2012 said:I got the rejection letter today! Same reason as many before! The problem is clear: duties not matching those listed under the NOC code, and the reference letter lacks the lead statement of the selected NOC code. The most common rejection reason, and probably what makes officers very happy (i.e. they can get rid of an application in few minutes )!kg.jadu said:Sorry to hear about your rejection, Ace_2012. I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a skilled worker. I have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.
Subsection 75(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations states that a foreign national is a skilled worker if:
a) within ten years preceding the date of their application for a permanent resident visa, they have at least one year of continuous full-time employment (37.5 hours/week) experience, or the equivalent in continuous part-time employment in one or more occupations, other than a restricted occupation, that are listed in Skill Type 0 Management Occupations or Skill Levels A or B of the National Occupational Classification matrix;
b) during that period of employment they performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification; and
c) during that period of employment they performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, including all of the essential duties.
I am not satisfied that you meet these requirements. Your letters of reference from your employers did not list job duties or responsibilities that match the actions described both in the lead statement and in a substantial number of the main duties described in the NOC codes you selected.
Subsection 75(3) states that if a foreign national fails to meet these requirements, the application shall be refused and no further assessment is required. I am not satisfied that you meet these requirements.
Subsection 11(1) of the Act states that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or for any other document required by the regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act. Subsection 2(2) specifies that unless otherwise indicated, references in the Act to “this Act” include regulations made under it.
Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and the regulations for the reasons explained above. I am therefore refusing your application.
Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada.
It is too general! I had a letter from my supervisor and a letter from back home where I worked for two years.
Yes, I was very surprised hearing about Luigiovemma's rejection. Her letter of reference was quite well written. What are those magic words the visa officers are looking for? And by the way, what are the "actions described in the lead statement for the occupation" for our NOC 4012?aidina said:The problem is clear: duties not matching those listed under the NOC code, and the reference letter lacks the lead statement of the selected NOC code. Ace_2012 said:Thank you everyone. It is really annoying to see the rejection letter that just says: We are not satisfied!
I double checked my letters. My letter from my supervisor is not good enough. It just said that I was working on some project and what the lab does.
The letter from back home has this part:
At the beginning he was trained for a month and then sent to work in the maintenance unit of the factory as an electronics engineer. His responsibilities and duties at the factory were1) Repairing and maintenance of the electronic boards of existing machineries. (2) Renewal and upgrading the old machineries. (3) Commissioning and startup of new machineries.
I think it was probably too brief. I did not know that they can take one whole year to tell me that this letter is not good enough. Unfortunately they do not return the documents back and It takes a while to gather them all over again for reapply! This is really a pain!
Yes, still I will get 24 for language. but only 21 (bsc) for education, 12 for age and 9 for wrk experience which makes 66!asbereth said:Under the new point system, how many points would you get?
