Can't wait for PR to come. Got an offer outside and company is willing to make a deal for me to work on a part-time basis (using the off-campus work permit) until I get my landed status which they will then convert me to a permanent employment. I haven't applied the off-campus work permit yet. Do you guys think that'll affect the PR app process if I did proceed with applying for an off-campus work permit?

I had your very same situation, got the permit, currently working with the company on part-time basis, and finally had a full-time permanent contract with them conditioned/ will be commenced when I get my PR!

Is it possible to send new IELTS grade to Ottawa for getting more points? DO they consider new documents like IELTS or it should be just submitted at the begining? Coz my points rely on 5 points adaptability. In case if they don't accept those points I can get more points by my IELTS.
Thanks

I don't think so. Other than medical, bank statement and police certificate, they only rely on documents that you submit at time of application

I think it is possible. I did take an IELTS exam and I send them the updated one after 6 months of application. I ordered CAIPS after and I found the note of the officer who updated my file.

If I were you, I would provide them with some details such as what your field is, what you have done so far and plan to do in the future, and list your publications . It will never hurt. BTW, which day in Feb you applied?
I had applied end of Jan. 2012 and my document received there first week of Feb.. I received document request email few days ago.

Hello guys,

I received the PER on January 31, 2013. On Monday Feb 18th I got an email from CIO saying that I have 30 days to provide them with proof of funds and bank history for the past six months. I was wondering if it is crucial to have the 11,115$ amount in the savings/checking account or if having less than the required amount will be a problem. I have a scholarship which guarantees me at least 9,000$ per year and I get paid monthly for my RA job. Do you know of anyone who has submitted the bank account and had less than 11,115$ and moved on to the medicals?

Thanks in advance!

less than the right amount -> rejection. You have to have that during that money until will land. Those are the rules. We have people here that got rejected for 150 dolars less than what was needed.

Thanks for the response. Yes I understand that it is a requirement for applying as a skilled worker. But for those of us who are students and who applied under the PhD stream it is quite difficult to have 11,100$ sitting in the bank account. I can understand that for someone who is applying under the FSW program from abroad it is necessary to have that amount because when they arrive in Canada they will need that money for their living expenses here. But being a student, I am making a living here based on my scholarships which are quite sufficient to cover for my expenses.
Anyhow, the final decision rests with the immigration officer.

That is very fast, I remember that u had ur application returned before due to CAP limits, do u have any other earlier application attempts ?
BTW, make sure that ur final balance in the statement is more than or AT LEAST equal to the required amount, otherwise u will 100% get rejected, and also avoid large deposits. Regarding the funds, they don't consider any documents other than the documents that prove that u do have that amount of money NOW. This is very serious
