i don't think this is a good idea!....they can very well call up your supervisor and i don't think he/she will be happy if they get put in the hot seat for misrepresentation!....overall i don't think it is a good idea to contradict job details specified in your first application (especially the hours and pay rate)..also say you do claim 37.5 hours a week now..how about the pay rate?..you'll have to keep your annual pay same as in the old letter meaning you are claiming you worked more hours for the same pay as before which i assume will make the whole pay rate go under minimum wage...this is indeed a red flag!....a CIC rep who gave a talk in our university said this is one of the things they look for in reference letters...TyrusX said:Go talk to the people in your department, They will probably say you can claim 37.5 hours as a RA.If they say so, you can be honest and write a cover letter saying that the information provided in your previous application was wrong due to your supervisor misinterpreting your working hours.
