I enclosed a letter with the dean of the grad. studies signature in an envelope and stamped on the seal. (did not stamp the letter itself, hope that will work this time) Anyone have such experience please let me know!!

you did not stamp the letter? I strongly recommend to resend another letter with stamp on the letter and ask them to add it to your application

this guy received this letter from Ottawa:

Your file has only recently been transferred from the former Visa Office in Buffalo to this office in Ottawa for processing and it represents only one of thousands of files that we need to integrate into our own workload and this process will take several months to realize fully. Nevertheless, we are actively reviewing files on an ongoing basis to ensure that priority be given to those clients whose files have been transferred from Buffalo and whose applications were submitted at an earlier date than those who have applied more recently to our Department. You can rest assured that we are making every effort to offer fair treatment to all our clients, on a first-come, first-served basis.

I note that the processing of your file is actually well advanced. Medical results have already been received. The validity of these results will be extended, if necessary, to provide a sufficiently long period of time to enable you to obtain permanent residency before the expiration of their validity.

We will be reviewing your file in the next several weeks and I anticipate that we should be in a position to finalize the file within the next several months, provided you have complete documentation with your application forms, as set out in the application checklist. An officer will be in contact with you in due course. In the meantime, I would ask for patience during this transition period.

My application was returned 2 days ago again.
Reason:
' Your application is not accompanied by an acceptable letter for the following reasons:
It does not bear the college/university seal of the issuing Canadian educational institution.'

I'm so sorry to hear that.
A friend of mine had the same experience.
It seems that it's their new strategy.
I think all of us from now on should send all the documents with the official stamp of the university or the department to prevent any further problem.

This happened to me back in May. It is not their strategy, they are just very particular about what they want. It was just simply an incomplete application!

At least they start to work now. That's the postive side of this bad news.

Feel pity for you. But not big deal. It's better than return your application after waiting for extra 2 months.

How can they attach it to my application? Is it possible at this stage? (I mean without application number) It is a great idea but they asked to put all the documents together within the application package. I will give it a try and I will include the date it reached them and my cleint ID. I wish that works!!

I spoke to a caseworker today. I just got the daycare subsidy for my baby even back to the beginning of this month. I will get refund for this month. The caseworker is so nice and she told me they switch to another department, so they have a bit more budget now. After you got approved for the daycare subsidy, you will have the subsidy right way. The government provide so many good things to us, we should work hard to serve this country.

You need to show to the caseworker: 1) Income Tax assessment notice of 2011, 2) What you do currently, proof of student registration or letter from your employer, 3) What is your wife doing: proof of study registration or letter of employer, 4) Chil birth certificate 5) ID for you and your wife 6) proof you have submite application of PR
There is certain limits based on your income to find out if you eligible for child care subsidy.
Also, you and your wife must be students or worker, i.e. no one is available at home to take care of the child(s).
Proof of address also required.
If eligible, they will ask you to get a day care who accept your child and let them know about.
In most eligible cases, there will be waiting list (4-8 months) depends on your income.

I did all that BUT my case worker did not accept my PER as an "approval".
So, when you guys mention "after being approved", do you mean PER? And if so, is there a law, somewhere, or a government notice, that i could use to help my case and show them that I should get the subsidy with the PER?

She told me that based on income I would be eligible for the subsidy, but she also said that I need my Permanent resident card, and that PER wasn't enough.

I did it once before, include your personal information plus your client ID, the date your application reached there and your package tracking number if possible

I'm agree with Dani, send your stamped one.
I hope that it will work,
you do not loose anything other than the postal fee, which is really worth if it works.
