CIO never quotes the name of your visa office in the PER email. You should know your VO once they contact you or if you stated it in your application.

It's for sure a mistake about the $1000 and if your CC was charged for the right amount no need to worry at all

Hi Guys,
Finally I received so-called PER today morning. Very strange is: They charged $1100 (for 2 person) on my credit card, but letter states $1000. It is their mistake for sure, but does it make any difference? Can I ignore it? or Report them.

Another question is: They did not quote visa office (other FSW class gets PER with name of visa office). Since we are applying on PhD stream, is CPC-Ottawa a visa office for all applicants?

I submitted all requested documents on Sep 17th (including medical results) and still I am waiting for PPR.

RK6165 is not a visa officer. (just a secretary!). Please look at the second page of your GCMS note to find out the officer code.

I tried to find CPC-O address.. But its written that only PCCs, send originals to this address...
Rest of the docs, send the scanned copied to CPC-O

Should I scan and send to the email ID of CPC or send originals to that address?

Normally, only the person who will get PER can log in eCAS, right?

I think everyone who has passed the completion step would get ecas activation. After that it can be either PER or NER. However the chance of NER is very slim but it exists. I saw someone in the fsw forum who got NER and she/he could login to ecas.

What are the reasons for getting NER usually? Because the CIO checks all the documents (including the correctness of reference letters) before charging the fee. So what makes them to give NER after charging the fee?

Then:
Choose it under privacy act and choose case file of your permanent residency application. Then also choose to receive it by email (not CD). From the pdf GCMS note, you will find your application details and all corresponding entries/comments inserted by the visa officers. From their comments, you can observe whether the visa officers have found any fault or incompleteness in any of your documents. You can send them updated documents accordingly. Good luck.

u can contact with your bank or the company through which you sent the money order. They probably will able to confirm u whether u money has been charged or not. U will not receive anything from CIC now until u get ur PER

Security screening will never be revealed to the applicant. This is done regularly and I guess CIC does not want us to know how often they send a batch for screening with CBSA. No worries, as long as you do not become a terrorist you will be fine.
