Applicant from PhD program after 5 Nov, 2011 connect here to get status

It's very unpredictable! My doctor assured that I will see my status update after this coming Thursday. However, I will believe it only when I see it, LOL.

My doc said she will upload them on coming Wednesday. So, i can not expect to see the change in status before that.
When can we expect change in ECAS status after they submit the results?
From FSW 2014 sheet, i can see some people get passport request next day after medicals received at vo and for some people ita takes forever.

I agree with you darknight1, but for the FSW2014 sheet, check only applicants whose VO is CPC Ottawa, do not follow applicants with VO overseas, because those may not reflect the real processing time of CPC Ottawa.

By the way, I just wanted to share that a friend of mine got her application rejected recently because she got 5.5 in one of the bands of IELTS (I think it was in reading). Although her overall band score was 7.0 (she did well in listening and speaking), the rejection letter said that you must get at least 6.0 on each band no matter what the overall band was. Heads up guys!!!!

checking ECAS status online to know the change in status. processiong ------> medicals receipved ---------> decision made etc.
researching on tracking sheets (both PhD stream and FSW 2014) about when the PER is issued and medical/passport requested etc.

I think your doctor was informative and helpful.
I tried to call my doc, the front desk staff were not helpful.

They said "7-10 days to upload the results" and "doc will call you if anything was abnormal".

I couldnt get the information that i wanted.

Before! It was rejected by CIO. She applied in August, 2014 and CIO automatically rejected like 2 weeks ago when they saw IELTS.

I guess people that got medical request no need to worry about points except the waiting times, like you mentioned it before.

Do you know the exact time of her apply? and when did she exactly get the rejection? the reason I am asking this question because as you may know I am the early September applicant and I wanna know when I should expect the CC charge.

Any other one who has applied in August or his/her friend has applied at that time and got response, please share the experience.

wait a couple of weeks more before contacting CIO. PER is currently being issued to mid-July applicants.

If your application was complete, you should get your CC charged tomorrow or by the end of this week. At this stage, if you haven't got your application back it means you will get your CC charged soon, because they are now returning applications to late Aug applicants.

Dear friends,

I just learned about this CANADAVISA forum! (After I submitted my application to Sidney this morning!!)
I read some of the recent threads that made me stress out.

1. For eligibility points, I wrote a note and referred to my Canadian work experience, my PhD studentship in Canada, and my language proficiency. The only documents that I have in my package to support PhD studies eligibility are my transcripts and letter of attestation. I did not add any letter of enrollment or anything else. Does it mean that I wont get points for phd studies eligibility?
2. In the form I calculated and inserted all the years that I have been studying (12 + 4 years BA + 3 years MA + 4 years PhD =23). Can this be a reason for rejection? I am still a candidate and have not received a PhD degree.

Hi friends,
We sent our passport to Ottawa on 26-Oct , reached on 29-Oct and we got it back on 7-Nov with the CPR and visa sticker. We plan to visit our family during the Christmas holidays so we will land on 18-Jan at Pearson airport when we come back.
