Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum. I am a SINP nominee, applying from outside Canada. The application processing office for my country (Bosnia and Herzegovina) is Vienna, Austria.

This is my timeline so far:

Permanent residence application sent to Sydney:

Is there anyone else here who applied in November?

Thank you my lord...& thanks & best of luck to all to all my frnds

Congrats! Which province did you apply from?

I sent them an email inquiring about the status of my application. My application was received and signed by a CIC Staff on September 18, and I am still waiting for CIO to respond to my email. I doubt they will respond to my email any time soon because it can take them 30 days to send out a response.

you have not already applied under one of the above categories
you are not authorized to receive personal information
you applied within the last 8 – 10 weeks
your enquiry concerns any other topic.

from CIC guide..
have patience..
my app received sep12 and no AOR yet...

(Ontario PNP)Nomination received: July 7, 2014
Application received at CIO: July 24, 2014

I have not heard ANYTHING from CIO still and I'm starting to get worried. My nomination expires in less than a month. I emailed CIO about a month ago but still no reply... I tried to email them again and got this:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

CIO‑Sydney‑Search‑Enquiry@cic.gc.ca

Technical details of permanent failure:
local-part of envelope contains utf8 but remote server did not offer SMTPUTF8

What should I do?

I could be wrong but UTF8 sounds like a language input code to me. Make sure you typed the email address in English without those "1/2" or "full" fonts options.

Call centre
The Call Centre can answer questions, in English and French, about Citizenship and Immigration (CIC) services and programs, or applications in process inside Canada.

Please note:
We are updating our automated telephone service. Our menu options have changed so please listen carefully before making your selection.
Call Centre telephone number: 1-888-242‑2100

Case specific enquiries form (available to clients with an application submitted to an in-Canada office or online)
Automated telephone service (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
If you have a touch-tone telephone, you can listen to prerecorded information about CIC programs, order application kits, and check the status of your application.
Call Centre agents - Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., your local time, except for statutory holidays.

You must choose one of the first five recorded options before you can speak to an agent.

Note that agents cannot:
answer questions about application status once it is sent to a Canadian visa office outside Canada,
make decisions on applications, or
help process applications more quickly.
If you are deaf or hard of hearing, or you have a speech impediment and use a text telephone, you can access the TTY service from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. your local time by calling 1-888-576‑8502.

Don't worry. I've asked OPNP and they told me the application would be counted as valid as long as you submitted your application before the expire date.
