Hi Guys,

I have been struggling to find answer to my query over forums but not getting concrete responses, would appreciate if someone could explain :

I have applied under FSW program under NOC code 2173, received my ITA on Nov 27,2015. I Filled in my application and payment done on Jan 14,2016. I received a confirmation Application Of Receipt - Application for Permanent Residency in my CIC account, now the status for medical is Passed and Review of Eligibility shows "Under Review".
My only question is I have read over forums that people who receive AOR have a file number generated on the same. However the AOR that I have received over CIC account has the same application number on the top right as it was on my Express Entry which starts with E000. So what is the file number that everyone talks about and when should I expect to receive that AOR which is also sent over email and that states that which country your case has been forwarded to ?

Looking forward for acknowledgement.

Thanks, Aayush

EE applications are centrally processed in CPC, Ottawa. LVOs are roped in if and when needed during background checks and as facilitators for post PPR formalities. Your file is currently in Ottawa and your LVO (local visa office) can be identified here ---> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp

Once your file is uploaded onto GCMS (Global Case Management System), you'll be allotted a UCI (Unique Client Identifier). You will get to know this number if CIC sends you a document request as it will be quoted on that letter. Until then (and even afterwards), your EE reference number is the application number for your PR application. e-APR is sent automatically on submission while very few people get the AOR at a later stage of the process. AOR was required till mid last year only for some Canada-based applicants to apply for an extension of their lapsing work permits but it is no longer required for that function so it might not be relevant anymore for a PR application.

All the best!

Perfect, Thanks :)
