It means that you met the eligibility criteria. The only thing remaining is the security. Usually, this is the last step for FSW-outland applicants and can take from anywhere between 2 days to 3 months. Security is done by external agencies, so it is unpredictable how they go about it.
thanks legalfalcon...

looks like there is a few people here still waiting for PPR, and it is over 6 months already, it is a little bit disappointing

Yes, I wonder how much longer it will take. Been nearly 7 months now? Can't plan anything properly.

I am surprised at how CIC works. It seem they are very inefficient when it comes to processing applications, and yes its difficult to plan anything when your life is hanging in a file with CIC, who refuses to either clear it or disapprove it.

But I guess we cannot do anything much except wait and hope that they will send the PPR soon to whose who are waiting.

Legalfalcon you seem to really be in the know how

So everything has been alright so far. Eligbility is still under review. Meds Passes. AND BGC in progress since Feb 14th.

Any reason to assume why it is taking so long? And what are the chances of acceptance/rejection? I mean is the 'tough' part over?? ???

Thanks for helping. I've been reading all your posts religiously.

They can be sent anytime, anyway. However, a few weeks ago the trend was to receive updates and PPRs on Tuesday and Fridays. In the last few weeks it has changed to Wednesday and Friday. It takes 24 hours to reflect a change on MyCIC after you receive an update or when you see MyCIC updated to receive an email.

Hi Legalfalcon need an advice.Me and my husband were on a work visa when our daughter was born and had not completed 18 months to receive the child care benefit that time. Also since our sin now had expired in January we did not apply. We are planning to apply now and my question is will it be bad that we have not applied yet and can we apply now.I know this one is off topic but is worrying us now.

To answer your question, I will need details. What is your status now? Instead of here, please send me a personal message.

Apologize for the delay in answering. I missed your post. Just by looking at your MyCIC does not help much. Have you ordered the GCMS notes?

if you have the notes, that would be a better estimator to figure out if your application is on track.

Got non informative answer from LVO, I will probably order notes today. Asked for more detail information on my BG check, but no info was given.

Our office confirms that your application is at our office and is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.

We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within six (6) months as this could delay your application.

Please consult our Website for information regarding our processing times:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp

For your information, the processing times, provided on the website, is the average time it took visa offices to approve or refuse 80 percent of applications during a specified period in the past. They may not accurately predict future processing times.

We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum. In order to process requests efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests.

does any body know how long in average it takes to reach the decision for the people exceeding the 6 months limit (in average from previous cases), if everything looks fine.

Is it 7 or 8 or ... months ?

of coarse, I know every case is different, but just wanted to know the average trend.

Thanks
