Hello guys,

I have been in 'background check' mode since late september and received a do-not reply email from CIC that my application has been updated, but when I check there is nothing new and no new messages.

Am I missing sth? Had this happened to anyone?

Cheers,
S

That's a good sign. Seems PPR is on the corner. Share your timeline and category. Also are you inland or outland?

I have seen a few comments (not on this blog though) that sometimes people receive such an email for updated and nothing has changed on the profile and it's just a bug...I keep logging in every other hour since yesterday, but nothing has changed.

FSW - inland
Medical submitted Sep. 26
Background check started Sep. 28

This email indicates that someone is working on your application so generally it's a good sign. All the best keep us posted.

I have no idea where my visa office is...how do I get that information?

Hello,

You can get which one is your visa office here...

No need to freak out. CIC is unpredictable so they may have considered it an LOE. If you were not asked any other document then upload it there. Unfortunately, I don't have their phone number, but I would find it and call them as well just in case.

Thank you so much. +1

I haven't been requested any documents yet, so I'm not talking from experience - but I suppose upload it in the field that you have active. I mean, you don't have any other options, right? There were cases when people have been requested docs and didn't have an active upload field at all, so you getting a LoE field could be a minor mistake on their part, or they really don't care how you submit the docs as long as you do.
I say submit it in the field you have and see if the "additional documents request" field in your myCIC status turns to "provided". And if not, try sending a CSE.

Thank you so much. +1

One such email I too had received few days after my meds in September but after that there's been no movement or update on my application.

FSW Outland

AOR:5th September
Passed meds: 10th September
BG check: not started

I just across an individual in one of the FB group who received PPR with AOR date of 29th Dec..
This is strange.. cannot predict the way CIC functions.. :( :(
