how much time did they gave you to submit RCMP?eddie_in_NL said:My ecas was also updated last night. Now it has 5 lines, they added "medical received" and "we sent you correspondence on oct 8th..."
Last one is referring to schedule A and RCMP request I got last week.
Now hoping to receive RCMP soon to get this moving...
That was just a mass update buddy. People who got their Ppr and had sent their passport to cic already and had got ecas status decision made, also got same update yesterday in their ecaslegalfalcon said:Even I received an extra line in the ECAS about the medicals received, even though my medicals were passed a long time ago. My take on this is that the applications are moving ahead. If you see the Client Application Status timeline provided by the CIC, you will notice that there are various stages of "DECISION MADE", and one of them is "medicals have been received."
Check this https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_fam&lang=en&app=ecas
Upon reviewing this link the processing stage can be classified into two stages:
Stage I - IN PROCESS (A decision has not been made yet.)
a. Application Received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
We have received your application and will review it in order of receipt. We will send you an acknowledgement letter.
b. Documentation Verified by CIC
We are reviewing your application to make sure it is complete and that no documents are missing. We will return incomplete applications for resubmission.
c. An Interview May be Required
We will review the application and decide if an interview is necessary. If so, we will inform you in writing of the date, time and location of the interview.
Stage II - DECISION MADE (A decision has been made at this point.)
a. Medical Results Received by CIC
We have received your medical results. We will contact you only if additional tests are needed.
b. Approval Status Determined
Your application will be either approved or rejected. We will inform you of the decision in writing.
c. Permanent Residence Status Determined
If your application is approved, we will send you your permanent resident documentation and a letter saying what we need to finalize your permanent residence.
Based upon this and the past timelines, all those who now have, "medicals received" on their ECAS are another step closer to the decision. CIC will update ECAS with the above status as and when the applications process. You also have to keep in mind that the applications move in batches. These batches are made by the CIC to monitor the progress of the people who have applied in the same timeframe. So many applications are updated on a single day which is a good news.
For all those who don't see an update, don't lose heart, you will see something soon. Its just that your application is in another batch, or your documents have not yet been received by the CIC.
This is just my input from my experience with law and immigration in my practice and the cases I have dealt with in the US and Canada.
Hope you all find it useful.
Cheers! ;D
I also didn't submit the FBI PCC along with the application since I didn't have it at that time. However, I did have an explanation letter providing details of when the FBI request was made, the delivery confirmation etc. I received a letter on My CIC asking me for the FBI PCC and they gave me 60 days to provide it. This opened a new link where I had to upload the FBI PCC.shibaak said:I have a question.
We didn't send my husband's FBI check yet and CIC has not asked for it either. But they have not rejected us yet too!
I will send it with emergency link next week.
Do you think they will begin working on my file after I send my husband's FBI?
Yes, it was a mass update, which does go on to show that the entire batch of applications is moving ahead. As regards to those who have already received PPR, thats awesome, for everyone else, hearing something is good.sarkar1989 said:That was just a mass update buddy.
