The 4th line was just added to ECAS.

"Medical results have been received."

It's strange, because on CIC the medicals were shown as pass on 16th Sept. That's almost a month gap for ECAS to be updated.

ECAS has been updated . 5 line added "Medical results have been received".

Earlier on 8th Oct line was added about additional document request. This was the 5th line.

But now on addition of "Medical results have been received" line, I have in all 6 lines in ECAS. And document request line is moved to 6th line.

Well this medical has been received line has been updated for many people. Many ppl who got AOR in august got similar update .

Even I received an extra line in the ECAS about the medicals received, even though my medicals were passed a long time ago. My take on this is that the applications are moving ahead. If you see the Client Application Status timeline provided by the CIC, you will notice that there are various stages of "DECISION MADE", and one of them is "medicals have been received."

Check this https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_fam&lang=en&app=ecas

Upon reviewing this link the processing stage can be classified into two stages:

Stage I - IN PROCESS (A decision has not been made yet.)
a. Application Received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
We have received your application and will review it in order of receipt. We will send you an acknowledgement letter.

b. Documentation Verified by CIC
We are reviewing your application to make sure it is complete and that no documents are missing. We will return incomplete applications for resubmission.

c. An Interview May be Required
We will review the application and decide if an interview is necessary. If so, we will inform you in writing of the date, time and location of the interview.

Stage II - DECISION MADE (A decision has been made at this point.)

a. Medical Results Received by CIC
We have received your medical results. We will contact you only if additional tests are needed.

b. Approval Status Determined
Your application will be either approved or rejected. We will inform you of the decision in writing.

c. Permanent Residence Status Determined
If your application is approved, we will send you your permanent resident documentation and a letter saying what we need to finalize your permanent residence.

Based upon this and the past timelines, all those who now have, "medicals received" on their ECAS are another step closer to the decision. CIC will update ECAS with the above status as and when the applications process. You also have to keep in mind that the applications move in batches. These batches are made by the CIC to monitor the progress of the people who have applied in the same timeframe. So many applications are updated on a single day which is a good news.

For all those who don't see an update, don't lose heart, you will see something soon. Its just that your application is in another batch, or your documents have not yet been received by the CIC.

This is just my input from my experience with law and immigration in my practice and the cases I have dealt with in the US and Canada.

Hope you all find it useful.

Cheers! ;D

Mine also has the 4th line for medicals. I don't know if they added it today or it was added before. Plys I am inland and probably takes longer.
