I complete 6 months mark today and there has not been any progress since October 2015. I guess I can call CIC helpline now and enquire about my application. Can anyone here give me the phone number of CIC helpline? Also, I was wondering since I hired a law firm to represent my application, can I make a phone call myself or has it to be done by my law firm?

Congratulations to those who have already received their PPRs!

I've been observing quietly for some time.. and this is my first post, ever.
My timeline is as under;

Category: PNP Outland
OINP nomination: September 26, 2015.
eAPR: October 11, 2015.
AOR: October 11, 2015.
BG Check: In progress (since February 11, 2016).

On reaching 6 months, I called IRCC call center and the agent told me that my file was with Abu-Dhabi visa office and for any status inquiry or update, I should contact the said visa office.

There is no agent/person available to talk on phone at ADVO and the automated voice message directs at using the website for online help or contacting them through an email if the normal processing time has been reached. On sending email, the automated response says, "Due to the large volume of emails, it may take up to 15 business days for our response". :/

I'm wondering how long I will have to wait further..

ADVO is the slowest so far....

and you can only wait for them to reply... the last time i raised a CSE specific to ADVO it took them almost three weeks to reply.

all we can do is just wait ....

do you have a long travel history or change in personal cirucmstances? like marriage or child birth ?

as in my case i got married and may be thats why its taking time...

you can try ordering GCMS notes but that is going to take another month.

Oct under PNP is stop for a long time. It's really disappointed me.

Well, that seems the case with ADVO, apart from a surprise case or two somewhere where candidate(s) received their PPR(s) well short of the normal processing time.

I'm a single applicant with no significant travel history, just a single trip to EU, and a visit to Canada.

I guess you're right, we just have to wait for our turn, and let them do their work, the way they do. Though, I just wish we were also lucky enough to avail the "Express" processing of our applications, at least within the six months time like many other lucky applicants who are getting them processed even within a few months just.

Maybe there is a shortage of staff at our visa office or the workload is too high due to increased no. of applications (including all other categories as well) or, maybe, the due quota (funny thought!) of certain no. of visas/positive outcomes has to be assorted according to a given or a predetermined cap per calendar year or any given month etc. and ADVO is already assigning enough applications to the available 'slots' and the remaining applicants have to simply just "wait" for their "turn" once the rest of the formalities have been completed.

Anyways, thank you for your insight and I hope we all pending applicants get our PPRs soon, as well.
