I have the same AOR date as yours and I am FSW Outland - Ottawa VO too..
My BG went to In Progress yesterday.. Fingers crossed now.....

Any advice for me; now i am worried i got my AOR on26th Oct and within 4 days i got my medical passed and at same point my background was changed from not started to in progress and now it's already 5 months now and I didn't get to hear anything

Try to relax, though I understand its difficult at this time.


As per my understanding cic starts the BG check of the applicants, just that for some of the applicants the concerned VO updates the BG check to be INprogress in the candidates application but for most of the applicants the BG check remain as 'Not Started' in the application status but actually their BG check starts. So, its ok for your case.

One of my friends got his PPR yesterday as well. He is not participating in this thread, but he is AOR Oct 2, FSW Outland (from US).

Thank you all for your wishes and your help on this forum. I have emailed CPC to change my VO to the US since I have an Indian passport which shouldn't be mailed out of the country. Based on sraj07's experience recently, I should hear back in about 2 weeks. I'll keep this thread updated to help anyone else in the same situation.

I have exactly the same situation as you do. AOR Oct 21ts and medicals passed about 5 days after, background in progress since then. Lets hope we have news soon!

As a general trend you will hear between march21 to April 15.i mea received PPR. So enjoy your life in the meantime.
