Yes; it is possible they may/can request additional documents.

That update on 19th October could've possibly been about the change from "Background Check: Not needed at this time" to "Background Check: Not started".

Not always. Only if there are some gaps in your background history or if CIC has any doubts about it.

If you have answered 'yes' for at-least one or more statutory questions, then CIC will ask you to submit the filled and duly signed Schedule A form.

No Gaps in the background history and I did not marked any of the statutory questions as YES.
Lets see what CIC has to ask/update in coming days.

My now ECAS shows Medical Results has been Rcvd, what will be next ?? On my CIC my backround shows " Not Started".

Almost all of us Octoberians are in the same situation. We all just need to wait for CIC to process our batch and hope they do so soon.
