I called CIC agent last Monday.
I am a BC Pnp Inland applicant

My background check went to IN PROGRESS around January 20th I believe. Not sure because never got an email saying my application has been updated.
My question to CIC agent was that it's been over a month and background check not cleared and should I be worried about it ?
The agent specifically asked me what category did I apply under and I told Provincial Nominee. As if they knowa certain category is getting processed slower.
Anyways, the agent says they need more time since an officer has to make a final decision on my application. But the security and criminality has passed according to the notes on my file. She told me to be patient for a little longer and things look good so far on my file.
